Mid-Lake Covered Boat Parking w/ Power -Community Pier - City Harbour 5 min away
Just opened for bookings in June 2023, "SB Hideout" has a location that cannot be beat. It is on Buck Island, just minutes from Highway 431, a public boat launch, Alred Marina, Gunter’s Landing Golf Course, and Guntersville City Harbor. It is 150 yards to community lake access with docking space for 4 boats. You can see the community pier from the driveway, the only reason you can’t see it from the porch is because of the trees that line the community pier path. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS STRICTLY ENFORCED. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY IS SEVEN.
Covered parking for 2 vehicles with boat trailers (22 feet wide and 71 feet long, with 46 feet under carport) and driveway parking (12 feet wide and 45 feet long), both with access to power. Parking for additional vehicles and boat trailers is available in the side yard.
"SB Hideout" is 1200 square feet, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sitting on ½ an acre with woods on two sides. One bedroom has 2 Queen beds, and an attached bathroom with a garden soaking tub. The second bedroom has 1 Queen bed. There is a second full bathroom with a shower/tub. There is a twin bed in the corner of the living room. All beds have memory foam mattresses purchased in 2023. All linens, bedding, and towels were purchased in 2023.
The house has central AC and heat and a gas fireplace. The laundry room is accessed from the back patio and has a window AC unit.
The open kitchen/living room provides plenty of room for 7 to watch TV. The table seats 4 and the kitchen island provides seating for 4. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare and serve meals. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, bakeware, coffee pot, toaster, and grilling utensils. There is a picnic table on the covered back patio with a view of the woods and a second picnic table on the covered side patio adjacent to the covered carport. The covered front porch with rocking chairs has a view of the lake in the winter.
There are two smart LG TVs, a 65 inch TV in the living room and a 45 inch TV in the larger bedroom. Cable is not provided. “LG TV” provides a wide range of channels, or login to your favorite app.
The garage is not available for guests.
The closest boat launches are at a public boat launch on Highway 431 just before Veterans Memorial Bridge going over the lake into town and Alred Marina Ramp, both 3 minutes away.
In order to confirm a booking, a completed and signed rental agreement is required within 24 hours. The rental agreement requires confirmation of the number of adults and children in the group, agreeing to the house rules, and providing a photo of the driver's license of the person signing the rental agreement.
No third party bookings allowed. No smoking and no pets allowed on the property. The home is pet free in order to accommodate guests with pet allergies.
In no event shall the Rental Property be occupied by more persons than the capacity of the property as stated on the web site or the confirmation letter, without prior approval by Owner. Any visitors (even "day visitors") not included in the group size of your reservation MUST BE APPROVED PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL DATE. No fraternities, school, civic, or other non-family groups are allowed unless Owner grants prior approval. Violations of these rules are grounds for expedited removal from the property with no refund of any kind and forfeiture of the entire $500 security deposit.
Guests on the property are limited to those listed on the rental agreement. No additional overnight guests allowed at any time. Additional day guests require pre-approval. No parties or events allowed. These rules are strictly enforced. Failure to abide by these rules may result in immediate removal from the property and forfeiture of deposit and all monies paid to book the property.
Exterior cameras are installed on the property as part of a security system. Cameras provide surveillance of the driveway and the front porch.
Around the corner is a 2400 square foot 3 bedroom/3 bathroom waterfront that sleeps 10 with a private dock. Rent both homes to sleep 17 guests.

I grew up Madison, AL and my husband grew up in a small town in Iowa. We met in Birmingham during our college years and moved to Fort Worth after college, thirty years ago. We return to North Alabama often and have loved spending time on Lake Guntersville. We have owned and self-managed a vacation rental in Fort Worth and are happy to now own and self-manage two homes on Lake Guntersville.

We chose this property for many reasons. It’s location, lake access just 150 yards away, and 3 outdoor covered areas. The lake access area provides opportunity for fishing off the dock, kayaking, bird watching, and simply relaxing.
What makes this property unique
"SB Hideout" is .2 miles from Highway 431, just 35 minutes to Huntsville, and 7 minutes to downtown Guntersville. Although the lake area is quiet and removed from the hustle and bustle of city life, there are many restaurants and grocery stores within 10 minutes. City Harbor is a new retail and restaurant destination just over the bridge into Guntersville and is accessible by land or water.
There are many outdoor activities within 30 minutes, including cave tours, hiking trails, waterfalls, boat rental, ziplining, winery and much more.
