The lake was gorgeous, we enjoyed our time out on it. The house had everything you need but for the price there needs to be a few updates. More outdoor seating, more gathering places in the house and updated pots/pans would make a big difference. Overall it was a great place to stay, though!

This is a cute, older cottage on a big lake. There will be bugs. Inside is clean and quiet. The windows allow for a lovely view, even better if the fat evergreen were to be removed. It's roomy enough, yet cramped when opening the fridge and someone else wants in the door, or getting inside the main-floor bathroom. The stairway must be mastered... and we did, because the bedroom is bigger and it's easier to find the bathroom right there during the night. Curtains in the upstairs bedroom would be nice, as the sun shines early in the summer. The dock wasn't in yet during our stay, and management worked with us to give us a discounted rate, because we watched the neighbors enjoy the sunsets a few times from their docks as we sat on shore. The kitchen is well-stocked, and I enjoyed the big windows front and back very much. Communication was friendly, and questions were answered promptly.

This was a perfect spot for a family vacation. The house was very clean and well stocked. We had a great time doing everything from exploring the hikes and beaches in Sleeping Bear dunes, lots of kayaking, family games and meals around the large table, s'mores and star gazing by the fire by the lake...Thank you!

Stayed for a week this summer and loved the location. Lots to do nearby in great northern MI. The included kayaks are a great feature of this property as well!
Stay was good, dock and lake were amazing and nature gave us a lightening show. Listing said 3 bedroom, but we only had access to two.

Thanks, Tracy! The third bedroom is actually next to the detached garage. We are very sorry that was not clear. We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay though and we hope to see you again! Best wishes and God bless! :-)
We loved this place. It has everything you need, and that view/location is fantastic. We saw lots of wildlife (snow geese etc) and a sunrise on the dock was so beautiful. I will say the location of the TV is awkward, but understandable with the layout. Highly recommend!

Nice place would stay again if I didn't have a boat. There's no good parking for a boat. Cottage was as advertised, clean, and recommend staying there. Property management was easy to communicate with.

The cabin is nice, a little dated. The stairs going to the second floor are a bit challenging. The detatched studio is a bit cold for the winter stay. Overall nice location, clean and well stocked.

The lake view was awesome and sunsets were gorgeous! Nice to have two bathrooms. I would suggest a hand railing on the right side of the steps going to the second floor. Both bedrooms were spacious and comfortable.
Was a very nice place! The grass was a little over brown but didn’t bother us! The dock furthest out in the lake had a few screw tips sticking through. Other than that was a very nice place and stay!

Beautiful view of the lake
Neighbors were definitely not happy that we were renting this cabin. Signs were posted so that made us feel uncomfortable. There were plenty of things to do in the area so we were gone most of the days.
Very comfy beds, kitchen very well equipped, nice lake with long pier, kayaks, awesome view from the home!
We had a wonderful family time. As mentioned in other reviews the stairs to the second floor are not for young kids, elderly or handicapped but everything needed is on the first floor. Our adult children had no problem with the stairs.
Thanks! (Also the property manager was so nice!)

Property is in a lovely location. House has everything we needed but we did not stay upstairs because the stairs were dangerous with no railing. The dock was great as we had coffee out there every morning and our dog swam in the shallow water. It was incredibly hot in the house though as there was no AC and it was 90 degrees. We could not utilize the swamp cooler AC as we didn’t feel comfortable with the steps.
