About this property
Columbia River Views: Relax in comfort & Explore Astoria & the North Coast
Welcome to Hammond Hillton — your Oregon Coast escape
Welcome to our little slice of heaven on the North Coast. Since 2012, it’s been our genuine pleasure to host guests in our family home, with the goal of offering a comfortable, safe, and memorable stay in the heart of Hammond, near Astoria.
Set at the mouth of the Columbia River, our two-story home offers a unique vantage point between historic Astoria to the east and Fort Stevens State Park to the west. It’s an ideal base for exploring the natural beauty of the North Coast—what Oregonians proudly call Pacific Wonderland.
The cathedral-ceiling living room features expansive views across the Columbia River estuary, stretching nearly four miles to Washington’s Long Beach Peninsula. Just beyond the windows, the river’s main shipping channel provides a steady, almost meditative procession of cargo ships and maritime traffic—best enjoyed from the Adirondack chairs out front or from the comfort of the sofa inside.
The open-concept living space flows seamlessly into the kitchen and dining areas, all oriented toward the view. A 75” Sony Bravia TV sits above the gas fireplace, complemented by streaming options including YouTube TV (with HBO), Max, Apple TV+, Netflix, and Hulu.
The kitchen is fully stocked with modern appliances and thoughtful tools, making it easy to enjoy meals at home. A conveniently located powder room sits just off the main living area.
Upstairs, you’ll find three tastefully appointed bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen bed and its own smart TV. The primary suite features an en suite bathroom, walk-in closet, lounge chair, and elevated river views.
Please note: This is a two-story home with multiple staircases and may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations. The home is also not childproof.

Everything about the rental was top notch. It was the most well appointed house we’ve ever visited. Comfortable, clean, not far from groceries , beaches, and Astoria. We enjoyed the view out the front window with the parade of container ships passing by.
A wonderful getaway along the river! It was the perfect place to have as a “home base” and explore Fort Stevens State Park and downtown Astoria. Then come back and watch the ships and boats, play outside, and enjoy family games in front of the fire. And the kitchen was the most well-stocked rental kitchen we have ever had! A beautiful and comfortable home!
We had an amazing time. The house is spacious, clean and well loved. It is also stocked with everything you could possibly need and things you didn’t even know you might want. We sat on the front deck and watched eagles, pelicans and sea lions along with the boat traffic which was pretty cool. We also bbq’d on the back deck and sat out there also. It was so nice and relaxing and also close to everything. Our dog Penny had a great time also laying on the decks and there is a small fenced yard so she didn’t have to be leashed all the time. Also a great neighbor hood for walking her.
This was not renting a house, this was renting a home. Welcoming with helpful, useful this is where the coffee is….look in the pantry…plenty of towels, extra blanket, extra tooth brush, first aid kit….games….just bring your clothes home. A definite repeat experience.
We loved our stay here! We loved the view, and it was very convenient location for everything we wanted to see. The house was beautifully decorated, with lots of games, and a great TV setup. A fantastic stay!

Thank you for staying with us again and we hope that you had a great time fishing this summer!
My family stayed here and absolutely loved it. The pictures just really don't do it justice. The house was so clean and well maintained. It is pet friendly however we left our fur babies at home for the mini vacation, but they had everything you could need for them. The hosts were amazing! If we ever plan to go back we'll definitely book this place again in a heart beat.
We have done 11 sibling trips and this was by far one of the nicest homes we have ever stayed in. Locations

Thank you so much for your kind review! We are so happy that you had a wonderful sibling getaway at the Oregon coast. Thank you for choosing to stay at our home.
This is a great property. We would stay again. Only suggestion would be to put a screen door on the front door so you can leave it open at all times and smell the wonderful air.
Very well equipped house with complete and accurate directions for use of very comfortable furnishings. The view was amazing and we enjoyed coffee on the deck with local wildlife in the yard. Wonderful place for a quiet, relaxing getaway.
Family get together from several states enjoyed this super nice home for 4 days. We loved the ever changing views, played pool in the well supplied game room, sat out at the firepit at night, and ate several meals at the house. Kitchen is well stocked as are the bed and bath line s. Loved the fluffy bath towels. Main bed was very comfy and had a great view of the Columbia.
Beautiful home, would stay again!
