About this property

This Northwest style home has been completely remodeled with beautiful details. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 with Kings, 1 bedroom with 2 queens. All the beds are new. The 4th bedroom has three twins. The library has a day bed that sleeps one. There are 3 full baths including a stunning master bath. The gourmet kitchen has all you need for cooking. Laundry has new washer and dryer. The home has a open floor plan with the great room open to the kitchen. The view looks onto the swimming pool. Looking west from the pool you can see the firepit and new regulation size Pickleball Court. There is a new gas grill outside on the deck. The Great room has a large wood burning fireplace and a 60" flat screen TV. The Pool is heated in the summer season (June 1-September 5) For an additional fee it can be heated some other times of the year depending on outdoor temperatures. You can check with the owner to see what the cost is to heat the pool during the off season. The outdoor Sauna is open year round.

Book club getaway weekend

We all loved the house, especially the great room space and the sauna. The house is perfect for a large group. We'd be happy to come back and make better use of the pool and pickle ball court. Our weekend was quite rainy but we were happy to play games and hang out in the house together

Duffer Golf Trip

This was a great place to stay for an “Old Friends” golf trip. It was close to Gearhart Golf Course, and it had a lot of room for eight old guys. It had everything we needed along with many activities to use at the place. Our host was very communicative at all times and even arranged shipping of a forgotten item. Would highly recommend!

Family Vacation

This unique home: a pool and pickle ball court and close the beach is ideal for a multi-generational family vacation. Three large bedrooms and baths, a game room, a kids bedroom, and large living room gives you the space to host a large family.

Cozy, rainy weekend getaway

On a cool, rainy weekend, this house was a perfect, cozy spot for our friends to gather. We took advantage of the big fireplace, the sauna (!) and even the pool (which we had heated, and it was worth it). When skies cleared for a few hours, we even got in a few hours of pickleball. The house was very well stocked, clean and comfortable. Communication from our hosts was excellent. And we all took walks to the beach (about 15 minutes), where we just about had the whole waterfront to ourselves. A great weekend.

Great spot!

Very nice property close to town and beach. Weather wasn’t on our side so we’re not able to enjoy the outdoor space as much but look forward to coming back in the summer time.

Great Stay on the Coast

We had a great stay on the coast. The house was very much as-advertised. Very clean and well stocked. The location is great - very quiet but close to Seaside for groceries/etc and a short drive to Astoria. The pool and sauna were a big hit too

A large wonderfully equipped house

My husband and I stayed with our 2 children, their spouses and the 3 grandsons. We all took walks enjoyed the sauna and even some the plunge into the pool and cooked wonderful meals. We rewatched the Goonies and loved it as much as ever. We also enjoyed Astoria - the maritime museum and the community pool and the column. Discovered a whole new genre - the tiki bar culture. The beds were very comfortable. All the info about the place was helpful- down to the hints on operation of the burners on the stove. All in all it was an enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Wonderful Cozy Coast Home

Our group of two families and one grandma had a fantastic time here. The house was so comfortable. Communication with the owner and Janet were exceptional. The pool was amazing for wearing out the kids. The sauna was rejuvenating. Close to Seaside and Florence. Would love to come back. Thanks for having us. It was perfect!

Such a wonderful stay!

We were 8 moms looking for a relaxing getaway and that is just what we received. Everything was perfect and the house had more than we could ask for. The pool was perfect, as was the sauna. The only downside was that the trip was so short!

Fantastic

We had a wonderful time! The pool was clean and the perfect temp and amazing, especially since we just happened to be there during the hottest days of the year. Location is excellent, close to everything while still being privately tucked away. We also discovered how fun pickle ball is on the private court! Communication with the owner and the caretaker was great and quick, very nice and so helpful. The home is clean and well-stocked, and the caretaker is willing to help out in any way she can. A couple suggestions we left for the owner were very well received. We can’t wait to return next summer!

Great place!

The amenities were all just as described. All the basic supplies were there, as well as lots of towels and linens, plus a nice little welcome basket. 😊 The grandkids were in heaven, spending as much time as possible in the pool. We did walk to the beach, about a mile, but if you do choose to drive, there is plenty of parking—even on the beach, which allows vehicle access. We didn’t see any elk on this trip, but the birds were friendly and there was one deer on the driveway. We also enjoyed s’mores around the campfire. The caretakers were always available and very helpful—Janet, especially. One small caveat. The pool is 3 feet at one end, but it drops off steeply, so young kids don’t have a wading area. This was a little hard on our youngest, but it did encourage the older kids to work on their swimming skills. This is one of the best places we have stayed!

Fun time at the beach!

My family of (8), ranging from 9 to 95 years old, had a wonderful time! The house was roomy, well-kept and very well equipped. We had days of enjoying the pool, the beach and relaxing in between, feeling very much at home. Communication with the owner, prior to our trip, was very easy and Jeff always gave prompt responses. After arriving, caretaker, Janet, was very helpful with answering our questions and even bringing us graham crackers for s'mores, since we thought we forgot ours. It was such a fun family vacay!!!!!

Wonderful House with Pool and Moore

Everything was great! Pool was perfect and the pickle ball court was a lot of fun. While the house was not specifically set up for wheel chair access, one member of our group used a wheel chair and the single level house worked out well for everyone's' stay. The stay at the house was fun and relaxing. The care takers are very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this house with a nice private heated pool. Kids absolutely loved the pool.

Summer kickoff

I have been renting family vacation properties in Oregon and the NW for over 40 years. This is one of the, if not, the best ever!! Checking in and out was a breeze and all communication with Jeff was easy and he quickly answered what questions I had. Weather on the Oregon Coast in June can be a bit dicey (we had great weather) Jeff had the pool heated perfectly and it felt as if we were in Hawaii! Lawn games, pickle ball and the fire pit kept the teens and adults as busy as we wished to be. If you are looking for an amazing, active Oregon coast vacation you have found it!

Relaxing quiet weekend

Planned this weekend to celebrate our Mother's 98th birthday! Everything was perfect. Kids loved the pool, adults loved the open space and ease of coming and going. Everything was as advertised. We'll be back!

My wife and I live in Seattle and have owned a vacation home in Gearhart since 2004. We enjoy the peaceful slowed down pace of the OR Coast. With our children older and scattered across the US we have decided to rent this home when we are not using in. We travel often and have used VRBO to find our Vacation lodging. We are confident you will be impressed with this home.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property because it was in a quiet area on 2 plus acres and we had the potential to rent it when we were not using it. Our first home in Gearhart was in a beautiful Ocean front association, but the rules did not allow short term rentals. With us only using the home 3 or 4 times a year we decided to sell it and relocate. We stayed in Gearhart within 1/2 mile of our first home. This home was built in 1975 by the original owner. At the time it was considered one of the fine Estates in the area. It had a Pool, Sauna, as well as a modern style large home. It is located on a large private piece of land, but has easy access to the main highway. Gearhart is between Astoria and Seaside and between the 3 small towns you can enjoy a number of different sightseeing, shopping, and eating experiences.

What makes this property unique

I f you want to get away from your regular routine, this is the perfect place to relax. The house is large enough that everyone can find there favorite spot and offers all the modern features for entertaining, cooking, wireless internet, outdoor activities, etc.
