Welcome to the perfect location! This house is very private and provides plenty of parking and security for vehicles and/or bikes and ocean toys. Newly renovated with spectacular West Maui and South Shore views, this home is centrally located for all your North Shore and Upcountry activities. The perfect house with all the amenities: This 3 bedroom / 2 bath house is finished with travertine throughout the kitchen and bathrooms and Brazilian koa wood floors, with a slate floor laundry room. A gourmet kitchen with top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances will please even the most discriminating chef. It also boasts a 55 inch HDTV and a deluxe front-loading washer/dryer, as well as high-speed wi-fi provided for guest use.

Please Note the following House Policies:
1. Quiet hours from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., during which time the noise from the short-term rental home must not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours must not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area.
2. Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries of the short-term rental home is prohibited.
3. Vehicles must be parked in the designated onsite parking area and must not be parked on the street.
4. Parties or group gatherings are not allowed.

Important Note: There will be construction activity on the adjacent lot from mid February through late June, 2026.

Peaceful mountain views

Beautiful, peaceful, great location!

Loved this slice of Paradise including Miss Kitty (neighbors social cat) who greeted us at our car before and after every adventure. We wanted to stay away from the sea of humanity this time and explore more of the interior of the island. The house was comfy and well equipped and placed us closer to Haleakala and the Lavendar Farm, as well as great eats in Haiku. Makawao is charming and has everything you need including a great market. I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic stay

It was a fantastic stay here in Makawa. My friends and I are here celebrating a big birthday and home was just perfect for us. The views are incredible. The weather in Makawao is so cool. In the evenings you just never need an air conditioning. We met Mark the owner, who was super nice and accommodating. I will come back here with my family again if it’s available.

Home away from home!

Our stay on Maui was great in big part because of our booking at Pookela Paradise. Mark was very easy to communicate with and provided a very nice place for us to stay. The house is well set up and has great views. It has all the things we needed and is in a perfect location as long as you have a car to get around the island. We were even able to store our bags on the last day so that we could take off for the day and not worry about what was in our car all day at the beach. Thanks, would love to stay here again another time.

Ample living space with a great view

Great property. Walking distance to historic Makawao. Beautiful view of the mountains and bay from the deck and dining area, great sunsets. Full kitchen. Laundry access is a plus! Comfy beds. Overall it was nice staying in a neighborhood. Only downside is the noise of the neighborhood: rosters crowing a lot of the night, dogs barking, etc. So just bring ear plugs.

Finally found a great vacation rental

I travel to Hawaii every year or so to visit family and have not had great experiences at vacation rentals there. I decided to try again and hit the jackpot with this place. It was clean, spacious, and, very importantly for me, had an extremely comfortable bed. It was only me, but it's so large and spacious that it would be of fantastic value for a small group or family. The view from the dining room and lanai was fantastic, the neighborhood quiet, and it's within walking distance to one of my favorite places in Hawaii, the village of Makawao. The host, Mark, was extremely accommodating and kind. The next time I go back to Maui, this place is at the top of my list.

Pookela Paradise

The house is beautiful but there is a house being built next to it on the property with all the attending noise and bad smells. The neighborhood is also quite noisy. The house was not very well supplied. The owner is on site and very friendly. Maui is magical no matter what, and we all had a great time.
