Maui Permit STPH2015/0006 - 3 bedroom, 1 bath, legally permitted vacation rental (sleeps 2-5) fully equipped kitchen, FREE HIGH SPEED WIFI, stove/oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, blender, washer/dryer (for exclusive use by guests of this cottage, not shared with any other guests), Bedroom 1 = Queen Bed, Bedroom 2 = Queen Bed, Bedroom 3 = Twin bed, crisp white linens, white bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, beach towels, beach chairs, indoor and outdoor hot showers. WE TYPICALLY HOST GUESTS OVER THE AGE OF 10, please reach out to us if you have younger children, this is a fairly quiet property and neighborhood. Nice climate, walk to Haiku town center (only 100 yards to Haiku Cannery!) with 6 great restaurants, Colleen's Restaurant at the cannery, Nuka, Veg-Out, amazing Fuzionfit workout & Blue Mango yoga studio classes across the street, Haiku Grocery store.

We are required to post the following rules in accordance with Maui County Laws:
1. Quiet hours from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., during which time the noise from the short-term rental home must not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours must not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area.
2. Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries of the short-term rental home is prohibited.
3. Vehicles must be parked in the designated onsite parking area and must not be parked on the street.
4. Parties or group gatherings are not allowed.

Lovely location, great local vibe. Interacted with the host, Ally (Allyson), several times, she was authentic and welcoming. It was nice to walk to the market, the Japanese restaurant (Nuka), the salon (Polished Hair & Nails); and driving to the northside beach areas in one direction, upcountry in the other, was great. It was nice to have beach chairs and a cooler available, and we took advantage of having a grill for cooking outside. Easy to get to the airport at the end of the stay.

Perfect stay in a charming Haiku retreat!

We had an amazing stay! Ally, the host, was fantastic, and her communication was flawless throughout our trip. The location was perfect for us—away from the hustle of the resorts yet conveniently close to Haleakalā, the Road to Hana, and North Shore adventures. The home was well-stocked with everything we needed in both the kitchen and bathroom. It was clean, comfortable, and set in the cutest setting in Haiku. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful Maui experience!

Fabulous north central Maui house

Neat and clean and has most of what a one week stay and getaway you can look for. Relaxed with coffee in the morning or evening as we planned our days. Reading and relaxing in the local town of Haiku. Within a couple blocks of the town grocery store, food trucks, coffee sop, restaurants and post office.

Lovely home, bright and clean.

We stayed for 2 weeks we are a family of four. We love this area of Maui, it is green, the beaches are spectacular and the ambience is genuine and relaxed. The house was perfect for us, close to the store for last minute groceries and close to hookipa one of my favourite beaches to walk on Maui. Our host Ally was always available and helpful. I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a north shore Maui experience.

Great 3-bedroom cottage in the upcountry area

The cottage is well-appointed, clean, and modern. It has everything you will need. We truly enjoyed the three bedrooms given that we have two teenagers with us. The owner, Ally, is great to work with. Super communicative and responsive. The location is great, very easy walk to restaurants and grocery store. It is also very close to the start of Road to Hana. It's just a short drive to Paia and amazing beaches there.

Ideal Maui location

This adorable little cabin is located in downtown Haiku but you can’t tell. Its surrounded with cleverly placed plants and down a long driveway so that it feels like you’re in your own private countryside cabin. Except the best sushi on the island is walkable and 200 feet away. Grocery, several restaurants and food trucks are also walkable. The cabin itself was clean, well stocked, beautifully decorated and just perfect for my family of five. A real gem of a find.

Awesome Rental!

The property was pristine and the house immaculate! This three bedroom house was the perfect fit for our girls week vacation! Ally is very welcoming and there to offer you recommendations on beaches, restaurants, hiking etc. The home is equipped with everything you need for your vacation including cooking utensils, a BBQ, cooler, beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, etc. I seriously can't rave enough about Ally and her property. I will definitely recommend her to friends and family and hope to stay in Haiku again soon :)

Haiku Maui Cottage The Best

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Haiku Maui Cottage! Ally was the best hostess and tour guide. Everything was provided even the shampoo and if it wasn't all you had to do was ask and she would try to her best to accommodate you. Near by is Ho'okipa Beach a good place to watch surfers but the best part of that beach is the turtles. Driving up the windy roads of the mountains was full of eye candy. If you want to see real Hawaiian living Haiku is the place. Thank you Ally.

Cute cottage - perfect home away from home for Haiku

This place exceeded our expectations. Although the cottage is not large, it is laid out really well. The bedrooms are surprisingly spacious and Ally has done a really nice job decorating and adding thoughtful touches. We liked the open shelving in the kitchen, nice closet organization and open shelving in the bedrooms, hooks in the bedrooms, access to the washer and dryer in the carport. Nice beach chairs and coolers (which we didn't use, but they are there!), too. The cottage is SO CLOSE to Haiku, but things were pretty quiet. Great value!

Excellent house, perfect for travellers that want to be off the beaten path.

My husband and I recently spent 12 days in the house with another couple and our one year old son (Ally pre-approved the infant as part of our reservation). The house was fantastic. It's clean, bright and extremely functional. We also found that it was very toddler-friendly, which was an added bonus. The location really gives a sense of a genuine Maui community. I'm pretty sure we were the only tourists at Colleen's restaurant just around the corner whenever we went. Since we needed a car for our adventures, beach and otherwise, we decided that we liked the look and location of Ally's house. For most of the trip we congratulated ourselves on the excellent accommodation choice. Oh, and the beach towels, chairs and umbrellas were extremely handy. Thanks Ally!

The host, Ally, was great! She was quick to reply and seemed happy to help. There were plenty of towels, including beach towels. I did miss having coffee available, though. It is a good set up. Very close to Haiku restaurants without noticable town noise. You really only hear the birds and the frogs. Location was central to upcountry, beaches and Paia. Lots of art galleries and shops. Beautiful area of Maui! Nice place to stay!

Exceeded All Expectations

This property exceeded all expectations! We are a family of 4 and had good friend come and stay with us, and it was perfect size (my kids shared a queen bed). Location is ideal if you want to stay upcountry. Ally was amazing from start to finish. Short walk to essentials and restaurants, and perfect of you want to go beach or spend time further upcountry.

Happy in Haiku 🌈

This was the perfect family vacation cottage for the 4 of us! A fun beach style cottage in a perfect location in Haiku…being able to walk out the driveway to the store or to a restaurant made life easy. Plenty space for our family with a beautiful yard to play outside, do yoga or just sit & enjoy the lush beauty of Maui while we weren’t out adventuring. Everything we needed was supplied at the house - even occasional rainbows to enjoy from the kitchen window while washing dishes 🌈 Mahalo Ally, we’d love to stay here again!

Perfect place to stay in Haiku

What a nice stay we had at Ally’s place in Haiku. The house is just as described- updated amenities, very clean, spacious, and perfect for our group of four. Ally was very responsive and helpful, and she provides all you need for a comfortable stay. There was no air conditioning but with windows open, cool breeze, and excellent fans such was not a problem at all- even in late June. The washer and dryer and laundry detergent was an added bonus! The location is a bit away from town so you need a car, but perfect for the road to Hana and for experiencing the town of Paia. Pretty beaches nearby that you can drive to.. Overall, a super nice place to stay while in Maui- I highly recommend it.

If you want a great location with easy access to beautiful hiking, great beaches, Surf, Stand Up Paddle, Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, Haiku town, Paia town and more there is NO better location. Located 4 miles from Ho'okipa Beach Park, 6 miles from Paia, 5 miles from Makawao town and less than 5 miles from Mama's Fish House in Kuau. FREE HIGH SPEED WIFI so you can work (if you have to).

What makes this property unique

1 minute walk to nice grocery store with locally grown produce, poke bar with fresh fish! 1 minute walk to dinner at NUKA, breakfast at Colleen's Restaurant and Bar, this is such a perfect location! Just off Hana Highway, very easy access.
