Great place conveniently located near New River Gorge

We had a comfortable stay in this lovely house, in a very convenient location for climbers. The host gave very clear instructions and was responsive when we messaged for a couple of questions. I’d happily stay here again.

Thanksgiving getaway

We spent a few days with our adult kids and small dog at Kaitlyn’s home in Oak Hill. Very clean and comfortable. Had just about everything we needed to cook a Thanksgiving dinner! Close to beautiful hikes and overlooks. Can’t wait to return!

Perfect for us.

The house was a great home base for us to explore the New River Gorge and surrounding area. The parking was easy, the bed comfortable, and the house had all the kitchen supplies we needed. Communication was quick and instructions were clear.

Wonderful house!

I loved the location, The house was perfect and very clean also the host was wonderful! The only thing that could have made it better is a television however the host explained why there wasn’t one so I can’t blame her for not adding it. If you are looking for a place close to everything and great for your fur babies this is the house for you.

Perfect!

Cute little house central to everything. Kaitlen was a great host. Very responsive and kind. She supplied everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable, and water stayed hot for all 5 of us when we showered. We were minutes from the bridge, rafting, and great restaurants. We loved it! We would absolutely stay here again. Thanks, Kaitlen!!

Great fun with gammah and gan-pa

Your property was the best choice for us as it allowed excellent space when the weather was not so good. We also cooked and ate most of our meals there. Your deck and the covered area was really enjoyed . . . not just by our 2-1/2 year old granddaughter, but also our Golden retriever and our small rat terrier. So glad everything worked out. We will certainly book our next trip with you!

Quiet and pet friendly

This house can sleep 6 people easily. Fenced yard, very clean house. Rules are easy to follow. If you're looking for a place to sleep and shower only, perfect place. It does have a kitchen, we just didn't need to cook. Kept our bottled water cold in the fridge. I would stay here again. Minutes from food and gas choices. Cute place. I would recommend a table lamp beside the bed though.

Great location to experience the New River Gorge area

The house was just as the pictures showed. The kitchen,though small, was well equipped and also offered extra spices, tea, coffee, and even dog treats. The beds were comfortable. There were also extra bathroom supplies provided in case you forgot something.My family and I enjoyed our stay at this property and would return again if back in the area.There were just a few little things that could have been better communicated such as dogs not being allowed on the beds, which was not mentioned on the site and only communicated the day before to us. Also there was only one towel and wash cloth provided per guest. ( The owner did offer to reimburse us if we bought new towels but we opted just to wash the ones we had. That offer was appreciated, though.) Besides that we had a great time during our stay!

Nice and Cozy

My son and I went up to raft the Gauley and needed a place to stay. Found this treasure online and lucked out. Close to the New River Gorge activities and other gems in the area. Nice and quiet. Comfortable beds and pretty much everything you need. it did not have a TV but great Wifi. I only wanted the TV for football but it allowed me to spend more time with my son which was a blessing. The host was quick to respond to any questions I might have had. They also made sure to let me know to contact them if I needed anything at all. Would definitely go back and stay again.

Great New River Gorge Base Camp

We had an excellent stay in Oak Hill! We had a bit of a scheduling issue at first after we booked, but the host was communicative and incredibly helpful and kind in helping resolve it to our total satisfaction. She was amazing to work with from a customer service standpoint. The house itself is charming and so cute inside. We could tell the owner put a significant amount of time and work into this property and has made it very comfortable. The neighborhood was SO peaceful and quiet all day and night. There isn’t too much to do in Oak Hill itself; however, it’s incredibly close to New River Gorge and the towns around it that do have a bit more, so it was an incredibly convenient location. Only thing I wanted to make sure people are aware of is that there isn’t a tv. Obviously not a deal breaker, but I didn’t realize it until it was in the info sent over the night before we checked in. I know for some people that can be an important item, so wanted to call it out. Over all, it was the perfect spot for our time exploring West Virginia and would highly recommend it!

Deceptive listing

Property is fenced with a 3 ft fence with no way of closing gates. Arrived to huge pit bull in front yard. This is not a normal "pet friendly" listing. If multiple people with pets have stayed here, with no complaints, as I was told, where are their recommendations? There arent any. Was left with no other accomodations as Kaitlin would not allow me to spend the night and leave in the morning without holding my refund hostage. Found better lodging elsewhere. House reeked with mildew or something. Evolve offered to assist in finding me other accomodations until they spoke with Kaitlin and then changed their mind. I did receive a full refund. Suggestion: Change listing to accurately reflect the property. It is not dog friendly or dog safe. Pictures upon request.
