THE SPACE

The open-concept main level is designed for seamless indoor-outdoor living. Vaulted ceilings, warm wood finishes, and sliding doors flood the space with natural light and open directly onto a spacious wraparound deck. With ample outdoor seating and views that never get old, the deck is ideal for morning coffee with the sunrise over the sea, or evening cocktails with the sound of waves. A shaded outdoor dining area and BBQ make it just as inviting for long lunches as it is for grilled dinners with friends and family. This is island living at its best.

Inside, the fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops and a breakfast bar, perfect for everything from a quick island-style breakfast to a full home-cooked meal. The master suite, also on the upper level, is a peaceful retreat with an en-suite bath and incredible ocean views.

On the lower level, three additional bedrooms offer a quiet escape. Two feature double beds, and one includes a queen bed with its own en-suite bathroom—ideal for families or groups traveling together. A second full bathroom, kitchenette, and laundry area on the lower floor add convenience and privacy for longer stays.

But it’s the outdoor spaces that truly set Coral Beach Retreat apart. The private sandy beach is a sun-warmed sanctuary, complete with a shaded palapa and hammocks for lazy afternoons. Snorkeling and kayaking are excellent when sea conditions allow, with vibrant marine life just offshore. The property also includes the lush adjacent lot, with walking paths winding through tropical foliage, offering even more space to relax, explore, and reconnect with nature.

Though Coral Beach Retreat feels wonderfully secluded, you're just a short drive from French Harbour's restaurants, grocery stores, and island adventures. Ideal as both a peaceful escape and the perfect spot to connect with loved ones, this tropical retreat offers the best of Roatan—comfort, charm, and that undeniable magic of the Caribbean.

GUEST ACCESS

Your reservation at Coral Beach Retreat grants you exclusive access to the entire residence and its grounds. From the moment you arrive until your departure, the amenities at this seaside retreat are yours to enjoy.

A short walk down the lane leads you to the shared community dock, where you’ll have access to additional snorkelling opportunities in the lagoon. Be sure to pack your snorkel gear and water shoes, as crystal-clear waters, tropical marine life, and vibrant coral reefs await your exploration.

Exclusions:
Please note that there is a small casita near the entrance of the property that is reserved for occasional use by the owners' family. It’s never occupied during guest stays, and you’ll have full, private access to the main house, pool, beach, and surrounding grounds during your visit.

Privacy and Exclusivity:
While you may see our property manager, groundskeeper, or other staff on the premises, we believe in providing you with the utmost privacy and exclusivity during your stay.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Coral Beach Retreat is located in lower First Bight, a quiet, residential area on Roatan’s south shore, a little east of French Harbour. It’s a peaceful part of the island that feels off the beaten path—perfect for travelers looking to relax in nature and escape the crowds.

As the neighborhood enjoys steady trade winds, First Bight isn’t known for calm, glassy waters, but on clear days the snorkeling can be spectacular, and the open sea views are always stunning. It’s a great place to soak up the natural beauty of Roatan and watch the colors of the sea change throughout the day.

Despite its tranquil setting, Coral Beach Retreat is only a 15-minute drive to French Harbour, where you’ll find grocery stores, banks, and pharmacies, as well as a handful of restaurants and attractions.

Getting Around
Complimentary onsite parking is available, and a rental vehicle is recommended if you plan to venture out to explore the island. Most of Coco Road (aka. First Bight Road) is unpaved, so while it's possible to drive the road in a small car, most of our guests prefer having a larger vehicle. During our rainy season, 4-wheel drive is strongly recommended.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

Electricity & Water Conservation
Electricity on the island is private, which results in higher costs. Additionally, water is a valuable commodity. We kindly ask for your cooperation in conserving these resources during your stay. Remember to turn off the air conditioning in spaces when you're not using them, or if you have doors or windows open, to ensure efficient usage. Please note that if the air conditioning remains continuously on during your stay, there may be additional charges applied.

Internet Outages
Due to the island's infrastructure, internet outages may occur unexpectedly. These do not occur frequently and are usually brief, however it is unfortunately impossible to guarantee uninterrupted service. Power outages may also occur, however the property has a dedicated backup generator to ensure continuous energy supply.

Housekeeping Service
The one-time cleaning fee which applies to your prepaid reservation total covers having our housekeeper clean and prepare the villa prior to your check-in, as well as after your checkout. If you’d like additional cleaning service during your stay, this can be arranged for an additional fee.

Pets
First Bight is a pet-friendly neighborhood, and your pet is more than welcome to join you during your stay at our property. A non-refundable fee of $100 is applied, and if you bring your pet or service animal, it will be your responsibility to clean up after them as well as to pay for any damages.
