Enjoy your time with peace and quiet in our 2 queen bedroom 1 bathroom houseboat 2 additional queen air mattresses for extra guests. Conveniently located on the buoy line 6th houseboat from the end of the buoy line on Norris Lake at beautiful Lone Mountain Marina and campground in Tazwell Tennessee. Only bring what you need we provide bed linens, towels, pots and pans, place setting for 4 kurieg coffee maker, toaster oven, toaster, 2 burner hot plate, ice maker, dvd player with dvds in each room, gas grill( propane provided). Must have a boat to get to and from houseboat. NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE!! Make sure to bring your fishing poles and kayaks and paddle boards and have the time if your life.

Good and bad stay

When we arrived at the marina we were very surprised and frustrated to find out that we needed a boat to get to the houseboat. After looking back at the VRBO ad there was 1 small line all the way at the bottom of the entire page that mentioned that detail. In my opinion that is a very important detail that should have been upfront and bold. I tried calling and texting the owner who initially did not respond. When she did she didn't seem to really care about our predicament. Someone from the marina was very helpful, taking us and our stuff to the boat in a pontoon and let us borrow kayaks. He also came out to help us get back to the shore with our belongings. Once in houseboat we found out that the air conditioner in the main part of the houseboat was not working. I texted the owner again but received no response till morning. We then had to wait around for someone to come look at the a/c. They were unable to fix it and called an hvac person who came the next day and put Freon in the a/c. That helped for a few hours so yet another day with no a/c in the main part of the houseboat, the temps were in the 90’s. The next day the owner brought out a window air conditioner which didn’t cool it down great but was definitely better. So in total we 1 day with partial a/c out of 5 days we stayed. The back door handle was broken and would come off in your hand every time we used the door - the owner tried to say we broke it but it was broke when we arrived.

This review is hardly fair, I called you within 20 min of your original call. And to say I cared less is not true I gave you places that possibly had boat rentals available and you just wanted to fuss about how you didnt know when VRBO placed it in the description themselves. On the note of the air conditioner i have apologized for not being able to get someone out on the 4th of july you arrive at 5pm on the 3rd you texted me at 11pm on the 3rd if you had said something at 5 the Hvac guy himself said he would have been able to come out on the 3rd. There was a running ac in the upstairs and several fans too move the fair we were at the houseboat at 930 am on the 4th to trouble shoot after you said you had mashed every button on the control after being instucted not too. And nobody ever accused you if breaking the door knob however I was at the houseboat at 11am the day of your arrival and the ac was working and the door handle didnt fall apart when I used them key to open it. So in all fairness we went above and beyond to accomodate you i have all communication thru text messege and this review is impartial. I am sorry your didnt see that your needed a boat in the description and that then A/c coil had a pinhole it is a brand new unit and that wasnt expected however the Hvac guy did fill it trying to get you through your stay unfortunately the freon didnt hold up but 24 hrs so we did them best we could and brought another window unit out. I am sorry your didnt enjoy yourselves we would love for you too give us another try thanks you sir your stay on Smillieface houseboat rental.
