Mariposa Ridge Retreat.
3 bed, 2 bath nestled on a 10 acre hilltop with stunning views of Yosemite granite or snowcapped peaks, Mariposa Ridge Retreat is a scenic getaway, only 1.5 miles from the quaint village of Mariposa, the County seat of the Gold Country. RE: pet issues As of 5/18/22 we are very restrictive due to insurance issues. 6 person limit. INQUIRE BEFORE BOOKING.
The space
Drive on paved/gravel roads all the way to Mariposa Ridge Retreat's oak studded pad/carport overlooking Mariposa below. Push button doors enter to a cozy clean fully equipped 3/2 home complete with 500 sf deck and hot tub, BBQ, and picnic table as well as some deck furniture overseeing 10 acres.
Guest access
Guests can explore the hilltop retreat for walks and bird watching. Please be aware of wilderness creatures, bugs(ticks) and stickers. Caution-It's always fire season! No FIRES allowed except in attended BBQ. Do not go past pump house or any fencing as that is neighbor's property. Do not park on cement at barn as this area is off limits for guests.
Other things to note
Mariposa Ridge Retreat is a short drive (38 miles) from the Arch rock entry to Yosemite National Park, the Grand Dame of our Park system. You'll wind upriver along the mighty Merced river just 10 miles from the house and then follow upstream as whitewater flows along the roadway direction on your way into the Park. Earlier mornings are best to go to Park and return a bit earlier because of possible traffic. Check out the rafting in area.
