The house is well kept and very nice with all essentials. We didn’t receive check in instructions until very late and couldn’t get tvs to work very well but the property is gorgeous and the home is well kept
This house served as our home base while spending a couple of days at Yosemite. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were comfortable. The owner was easy to work with during the check-in process. We were so busy at the park that we didn't have enough opportunity to enjoy the nice deck off the back of the house.
This property is a bit far from things, but it’s beautiful and quiet, so plan to enjoy the space! We LOVED the enormous deck and hot tub. After a week of backpacking we appreciated the clean beds and hot showers! A couple small issues - 1) as other reviewers have mentioned, the host was a little slow to provide check in info. Usually at short term rentals I get check in specifics about 2 days before, but for this one I received it the day of, technically an hour before we arrived. 2) the owners are addressing a rodent problem currently, but they didn’t share adequate warning, so some of our packaged food in the kitchen was invaded. I would be safe and not leave ANY food on the kitchen counters, even sealed ziplocks or unopened chips, and clean very thoroughly after cooking. We didn’t see any mice or evidence of mice anywhere else in the house, it was generally very clean, so I’m sure this is just an unfortunate one-off situation. Great trip, would book again!
Perfect location to take daily trips into Yosemite. Lots of room for 4-6 adults. We visited in July 2024 during an extreme heat wave but still used the hot tub and deck in the evening. Mariposa is a lovely little town with great restaurants. Strongly recommend
Very clean and welcoming house. The host was super helpful and the space was delightful. Fantastic views. Excellent deck. Good kitchen, great family dining space. Loved it.
This was such a wonderful place to stay. We loved the large back patio for have breakfast overlooking the trees. The house was very nice inside. We enjoyed how there wasn’t a lot of things surrounding the house, allowing us to have more privacy and quietness. It was a great place for some R&R. And Marc was such a great host. He was very quick to reply to my questions, even before I booked the place. Once I got our stay, I had to call him to get the lock code. He was so quick in responding back and making sure we had everything we needed.
The property is as advertised and was an awesome place for us to relax each day. The place was great for our dogs and the rooms were comfortable and the house is very quiet. Air conditioning worked great and the hot tub was very relaxing.
Shopping and restaurants are not very far away and Yosemite is about an hour and fifteen away.
We truely enjoyed the outside patio ,bbq and hot tub.. The front porch was lovely too, with the rocking chairs and table we could eat breakfast at. lovely setting
This is a comfortable rental about one and a quarter hours' drive from Yosemite Valley. The standard of equipment is very good. There is a little road noise but not enough to be a problem. Getting access details from the owner was troublesome as he did not wish to give the information until the day before our arrival and then had to be reminded to send the information, which arrived by multiple texts rather than a single emails. A bit frustrating but a small irritation overall. I would still recommend the property.
Traveling to Yosemite with a couple and 2 single friends, this house was a wonderful find. Modern, spacious home with 3 bedrooms for each of us to rest, and spacious gathering spaces; living room, dining room and massive deck with great views. The house was clean and uncluttered, easy to work within kitchen and easy to use washer and dryer. We appreciated the bathroom supplies, the kitchen staples stocked in fridge & pantry. Property Manager Marc was prompt to answer my questions before rental and 1 question during stay (directions for WIFi TV). Arrival & House instructions provided timely and easy directions for location. Short 10 minute drive to town for groceries & dining and 45 minutes to Park entrance. This house was welcome retreat after day in Yosemite. Our group agreed, we’d all stay here again and suggest for any others traveling to area.
My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon so we could go to Yosemite National Park. Overall, the property was nice and exceptionally clean. The inside of the property was a little dated, but the deck outside was awesome!!!! As for location, it was fairly close to Mariposa- about a 15 minute drive- but it took us about an hour and a half to get to Yosemite Valley from here. The property owner was very informative and easy to communicate with!
A lovely area and the owner was very accommodating. The house was well appointed and clean.

Disappointing - Cleanliness and Communication
Primary concerns here were cleanliness - significant cobwebs throughout, mildew in bathrooms, expired open condiments in the fridge, dead bugs on the carpet, misc. garbage and items left from previous stays (in bedrooms around beds/nightstands). The washer was so dirty and full of mildew that we couldn't use it for our own clothing. We had to use it for towels as we were there for several days with 4 towels to 3 adults (and washing towels was in checkout instructions), but due to lack of cleanliness the washing mashing couldn't even drain properly. We cleaned ourselves with what was available. There were several places (ex: kitchen floor corners and wine rack fixture) that looked like there were either heavy crumbs or potential rodent droppings. Even the blinds in the kitchen were covered in what looked like food spatter. Due to the concerns with mildew and general cleanliness through the laundry and bathrooms, we opted not to brave the hot tub. To be fair, we did not report this during our stay due largely to concern #2 - communication.
I reached out to the host 6 days prior to arrival explaining we were traveling and staying in other properties without cell service or printer capabilities asking for any relevant information, instructions, etc. He said he'd text it to me two days out from scheduled arrival. One day out I followed up via VRBO and text. Nothing. Day of I followed up again. Ultimately we ended up waiting at a location rather than departing as intended for Marc to give us the information we needed, which he sent via multiple texts. This would not have been my preferred method given the amount of information I needed to reference (and the majority of it being a copy/paste with duplication and a lot about pet policies, which were N/A for us). We were fortunate that we waited where we did have reception as had we left when intended we likely would not have been able to receive this information. The house was full of weird, old labels with instructions like 'don't touch'. Thermostat was off when we arrived, house was under 60 degrees. Windows have to be open to shower.
I see some of these concerns addressed in other reviews, which in hindsight should have stood out more to me. I would not return to this property or recommend for these reasons.
The location itself was nice in relation to Yosemite (about an hour to the gate). There were turkey and deer in the yard, which was also fun. Neighbors were rough and disruptive most days.
We had a great relaxing weekend here! Definitely enjoyed the hot tub and coziness of this place. The house is close enough to town to enjoy a day out but also secluded enough to relax and enjoy watching the deer and birds wandering near the property. Sticks coffee, coffee at Moonbow Kitchen, and Sugar Pine cafe were great places to eat or get coffee in the mornings just down the road. Thanks for the relaxing weekend!
Great getaway near Yosemite! Awesome views. Totally private and pet friendly.
The views are much better in person at this comfy mountain home! Just a short drive to Mariposa where I would highly suggest a burger at Happy Burger! Host was responsive and helpful. About 40 minutes to Yosemite. Got lucky with a beautiful snowfall at the house and the park!
Had a great time staying here for the weekend. Kitchen has everything you need. Huge deck with great views and hot tub both perfect for stargazing. Both TVs have Netflix but the living room kept signing out for some reason.
Luckily, we always take the fire stick when we travel and it worked perfectly after. Overall, the areas that were used were clean. If you sleep with the doors closed like we do the room might get a little hot since the thermostat is in the hall way. Would definitely book again.
We had a wonderful at this rental! Check-in process was seamless and the amenities were great! Great location making it easy to visit Yosemite over the weekend. Would love to stay again another time!
We really enjoyed our stay, exactly as it appeared in pics. Easy roads to and from yosemite and to town. Everything we needed after a day of hiking. The fenced in dog kennel was a bonus!

Natalya and I really love the great outdoors. Whether it's cutting firewood, hiking, fishing, swimming, or just sitting outside with a nice glass of wine with some good cheese and salami, the outdoors is the place to be. We love to be out on the lake with our boat, fishing and camping on the side of the lake in our truck camper. Traveling around the world is also one of our forms of passion. Hope to see you in the Great Sierras soon!!
