The Scene & Our Favorite Things
Lillian's Bungalows is located on Green Turtle Cay, a tiny, 3-mile long out-island steeped in Loyalist history. The ambiance here is best described as peaceful, vibrant, and effortlessly old-world.
The Scene
You’ll be staying in the scenic Green Turtle Estates area, just steps from the breathtaking Atlantic Ocean Beach (known as Ocean Beach) and near the tranquil White Sound.
The island’s primary method of transport is the golf cart, which tells you everything about the slow, relaxed pace of life. A quick ride takes you into the village of New Plymouth, which feels like an old New England fishing port magically transplanted to the Caribbean. Expect narrow streets lined with pastel-colored clapboard cottages, white picket fences, and the warmest greetings from locals.
What We Enjoy Most
What we enjoy most is the incredible sense of community and genuine island hospitality—the feeling that you've instantly slowed down to the island's rhythm.
Our favorite ritual is hopping on the golf cart for a short drive to:
The Beaches: We love the easy access to the stunning Atlantic shore for beachcombing, and the calmer, shallow waters of Coco Bay for a tranquil afternoon swim.
New Plymouth: Visiting the historic Albert Lowe Museum and grabbing a world-famous "Goombay Smash" at Miss Emily's Blue Bee Bar—the drink was invented there!
The Water: We recommend renting a boat for a day trip to feed the swimming pigs, snorkel the vibrant reefs, or simply cruise the crystal-clear Sea of Abaco.
This neighborhood isn't just a place to visit; it’s a place to live the simple, beautiful island life.
