This sumptuously appointed 5 bedroom 3 bathrooms and a sauna house recently refurbished to a very high standard, with artwork collected by the owner hanging on the walls, is located in a village, very close to the gorgeous beaches of the largely unknown and preserved West Coast of Sardinia, and to the magical mountains of Montiferro. Far away from the Costa Smeralda and its artificial and expensive paradises, it will provide you with an unique experience of the peace and quiet of an old village, yet with the comfort of a fully equipped modern home.

Uma experiência para nunca mais

Depois de, a três dias da chegada à Sardenha, descobrirmos que a proprietária tinha a propriedade ocupada (mas não a retirou das plataformas), foi um sem fim de desresponsabilização por parte da mesma. A situação acabou por ser resolvida em cima do acontecimento, mas a senhora Paola não foi de todo um agente facilitador neste processo! Não posso avaliar a propriedade porque não tivemos acesso à mesma. Quanto à anfitriã, não tenciono repetir!

The owner was a journalist for 35 years, based in Rome, Moscow, Paris and New York, and now lives in Italy where she opened a guesthouse and bought an olive grove where she is producing extra-virgin olive oil, home made jams and Limocello. She has two grownup children who live and work in London, and speaks Italian, French, English and Russian.

Why they chose this property

Invited here in 2006 by a French architect, she was attracted by the peace and quiet of this village, located on a hill between the fingers of the Montiferro mountains and one of the most beautiful spots of the Mediterranean Sea, with unspoilt beaches and crystal clear waters. Little by little, she bought the second house which has become a B&B, and the olive grove 3,5 ha property, which has 200 olive trees, an orchard with fig trees, lemon trees, orange and tangerine trees, plums, apples, pears, grenades, blackberries and whiteberries, a vegetable garden with eggplants, zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, and onions, all strictly organic grown !

What makes this property unique

When I first visited this house, the first one among 15 properties I saw, I knew this would be the one I would chose in the end: large bedrooms with ancient tiles, a fresh ground floor for the summer days, a big balcony to hang the laundry, two gorgeous terraces to have dinners with a view on the Mediterranean sunset, three bathrooms that I entirely renovated. Then I added a sauna with a shower, for the winter evenings..
