Place was amazing. Wish we had more than a day to stay. Deer running all over the area, beautiful stream and fire pits all over the property. A must stay if you want a peaceful getaway!

Carolee was great! She had so many suggestions for what we could do while visiting. We were sorry we only had one day.

Thank you so much for your kind words! It was a pleasure having you, even if just for a quick visit. I’m so glad you enjoyed the suggestions—I only wish you had more time to explore them all! Hopefully, you can come back for a longer stay next time. There’s so much more to see and do, and I’d love to help you plan it all out. Safe travels until then!
It’s a small historic neighborhood that was largely forgotten. The owners are renovating it as a good destination for hiking and the like.

Thank you so much, Patrick, for choosing to stay at The Village during your time in the Tamaqua area! It was a pleasure hosting you, and I truly appreciate your kind words about the restoration work we've been doing. We've put a lot of heart into preserving the history of the property while ensuring a comfortable and modern stay for our guests. Hearing your feedback makes all the effort worthwhile! I hope you'll visit us again in the future—there's always something new to discover. Safe travels!
We came for a wedding at the Barn at Graver’s Tree Farm. The hotels reserved for the wedding were too far and not rated highly. Found this 1st floor house that slept 6 and it was perfect. The whole place was recently redone and everything was top notch. Great high end fixtures and the kitchen was excellent. Fully stocked with everything you could want or need. Bathrooms were very tastefully done and large. Hiking trails nearby and close to town. Owner very attentive and super nice. The only surprise (but very cool) is the bridge to get into compound. It looks like a one lane wooden bridge barely safe for walking but underneath are massive steel beams. Adds to the charm. Would definitely recommend to stay!!

I truly enjoy ensuring my guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay, and it was my pleasure to be attentive during your visit. I'm glad you found the bridge to be a charming and unique feature—it certainly adds character! We hope to welcome you back for another stay soon. Warm regards!

Why they chose this property
Our private village is the essence of seclusion and nature = pure heaven. When you cross the bridge and enter thru our private gate you are surrounded by the village's ten acres of hiking and walking trails that leads you then to over 3,400 acres of PA State Game Lands (known as the Wildcat Mountain). If that wasn't enough, the Little Schuylkill River runs through our entire property with beautiful walk paths that lead you right down into it.
What makes this property unique
So many things make this property unique: our river, the Wildcat Mountain, the fact that we are designated as an Anthracite Cultural Landmark, and we have our very own "whistle stop" of the Reading Northern Railroad (aka Houser's Crossing). We offer yoga classes in our lighted grove, on site massages, and boast our very own "Magical Meditation Fern Garden" surrounded by the most beautiful stone wall. You will get lost in our beauty and serenity during your stay.
