My name is Karla. I am a real estate agent and co-owner of Umbrella Properties, a family-owned-and-run business offering comfortable, stylish, themed-properties for the short-term or extended-stays of professional groups and families. Please let us know arrangements are needed for an extended stay, and/ or for large groups that require multiple locations in close proximity to each other for business meetings and retreats; family reunions; weddings; business teams, contractors, and crews; or other accommodations for groups of 13-50 people.
I love to research the style, colors, architecture, history, and art of the time periods and places behind our property designs. My husband and his associates bring these designs to life with their skills in iron-work, and talents with wood, stone, epoxy, and custom tile. Local artists are also employed to help to tell the story in stained glass and other materials. We all hope that as each unique property speaks to your senses, that you are able to hear it unfold its story.
Umbrella Properties was born when our interest in real estate came together with our love of employing individuals seeking a new start. Our ambitious crew mows, trims, polishes, shines, and maintains our properties enthusiastically so that you can come relax and enjoy the beauty of this area, while feeling right at home here under our Umbrella.

Why they chose this property

Our properties are tucked into a quiet neighborhood centered in the middle of Vestal, Johnson City, Endicott, and Binghamton. We are a 5-10 minute drive from the newly renovated Oakdale Commons; Binghamton University (Colleges of Arts and Science, Engineering and Applied Science, Pharmacy, Nursing, Community and Public Affairs, and Management) ; Wilson/ UHS, Lourdes/ Guthrie; and Binghamton General Hospitals; Huron Campus; downtown Johnson City; downtown Binghamton; and the Vestal Parkway.
Our homes are approximately 15 minutes or less from the Binghamton Airport, and the Greyhound Bus Station.
Public transportation; Uber and cabs; and restaurant food and grocery delivery are available in this neighborhood. Our neighbors are a quiet, close-knit group who take care of their properties, and each other.
We are surrounded by authentic cuisine from Pakistan, Lebanon, Italy, China, Japan, India, Mexico, and the Caribbean, with several Halal and Kosher choices.
The Vestal Parkway, five minutes away, has many chain restaurants and shopping options. Antique shops are also plentiful in this area, as well as other stores that hold many treasures to refinish or restore.
LUMA Fest, the Dick Sporting Goods Open, the Speedie Fest and Balloon Rally, fabulous 4th-of-July fireworks, Oktoberfest, the Apple Festival, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies and Black Bears, six beautiful carousels at local parks, and many country stores and farmers markets bring visitors into the area every year, and we are a short drive from all locations.

What makes this property unique

The steam punk genre with its gears, cogs, coins, clocks, steam-engine-powered vehicles, steam trunks, riveted steal, and use of mixed metals is the point is design where the science fiction of the future meets the elegance of the past. When examining the broader strokes of the Victorian and Industrial design, one finds the stories of pirate fortunes, those who are unfortunate enough to fall down rabbit holes, and whole worlds to be explored while traveling in fanciful steam-powered machines.
In addition to the unique design, you will find many comfortable places to reconnect with friends and family, a very user-friendly industrial-style kitchen to create delicacies for your group, and no limit of screens for viewing your favorite movies or gaming when you bring your favorite streaming accounts and gaming consoles.
