Loved our stay at the house on the hill!

We had a wonderful time at the Little House on the hill! The house was very clean and organized and the owners went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome and were well taken care of. Please note, the steps to the beach are a little weatherworn, but totally manageable and there are rope lights which very much helped at night. Highly recommend!

Perfect cabin to spend a wonderful weekend up north. The house is in a great location, overlooking the lake, just a few steps away from a private gazebo on the lake, in a great and quiet and friendly neighborhood. The cabin has all the necessities, plus extras. It is not huge, but cozy and comfortable. Bonus points for the beautiful lake theme decor, and a great communication with the owner. We loved the nice extra touch with the s’mores care package (that I didn’t think to bring). We would recommend it.

Thank you for your feedback. I know that we spoke privately and I'm very sorry that you found the stairs up to the house to be difficult. I noted in the listing that this is not a handicap accessible property and that there are stairs up to the house. I'm very sorry that you were not pleased with the property's exterior, but unfortunately I'm not financially able to make this handicap accessible being that it is on a hill overlooking the beautiful lake.

Went up for my 36th birthday with a bunch of friends, and we enjoyed the lake so much! The location is perfect, with a private little beach and swimming area. While the rooms were a bit small, the beds in the rooms were very comfortable. I wouldn’t recommend the pull out beds for adults, but I’m sure they would be great for kids. We really loved the little kitchen island, and used of the pans and dishes that were available to us. The shower is a little small and the shower head could stand to be replaced, but it still worked fine. Fresh gallon water, a coffee machine, microwave… All the amenities made it easy for us to never leave and enjoy all of our meals. We really loved being able to utilize the kayaks and the Floaties and the bonfires available to us, and all in all this was a great trip.

There is a beautiful lake view from this house and great private access to the lake. The house was very comfortable and had all the things we needed for our stay. The outside stair are quite steep but there is a handrail. Communication from the host was wonderful.
