Cozy Timber Frame Home! 5 minutes to Holiday Valley and downtown Ellicottville!

Smokey Valley Lodge.... A beautiful timber frame home that is just what you're looking for in a vacation getaway! This property is just a short drive to downtown Ellicottville or Holiday Valley. From the porch you can see breathtaking views of the gorgeous neighboring valleys and surrounding countryside. In the mornings, notice the "smoke" rising in the valley giving the property its name. This rental could be utilized as a great getaway for any of the 4 seasons! Inside you will find a full kitchen stocked with pots/pans, dinnerware, single cup "Keurig", auto-drip coffeemaker, two crockpots and pantry items. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Bedroom 1 is located on the lower level (must take 5-6 steps down from the main level) offering 1 Queen bed with an attached full bath and bedroom television with basic Direct TV. A queen sleeper sofa is located in the upper living room. Loft bedroom 2 is on the Second Floor offering 1 Double & 1 set of Twin bunkbeds. For additional sleeping you will find a full-size futon located outside of loft bedroom 2 on the second floor. Two large living rooms to gather with family and friends. Enjoy sitting by the wood burning fireplace or taking a dip in the hot tub after a day on the slopes. There are also a large yard and a stocked pond on the property for all to enjoy! And if it couldn't get any better, this home is also pet friendly! (Dogs allowed. No cats please.) Basic Direct TV package and wifi **No Smoking**

Water is supplied by a well. Please note that there is a high iron content in this area. We have a filter so the water is safe to drink and use, however it does have a sulfur smell. We have a Primo water cooler on property to provide you with hot/cold purified water.

Please let us know when booking if you plan to bring your pet. Please monitor your pet at all times and make sure your dog stays on our property and does not run into the neighbors' yards.

Cozy, semi-rustic home within a short drive to town. Loved the fireplace and provided firewood. Also enjoyed the hot tub. As mentioned previously, the well water has quite an odor when showering, etc, but the provided water cooler was perfect for drinking water. Note, if you plan to watch movies, etc, be sure to take your own Roku, etc as there was not streaming availability. Enjoyed our stay!

We had a very good stay at this home near Holiday Valley ski resort. There was plenty of room for 6 people, 4 adults and 2 children. The house was warm on a cold weekend, we loved having the wood burning fireplace with plenty of stocked wood. Quick 5 minute drive to Holiday Valley resort or 6 minute drive to downtown Ellicottville made this the perfect location for our long weekend.

Perfect Country Getaway

Our second time staying at this property was just as lovely as our first. Extremely clean and well appointed with all your basics. The fireplace was amazing on the chilly nights and the hot tub was wonderful. My children loved exploring the pond area every day!

This home was simply beautiful inside and in its surroundings. Beautiful views of the hills and valley and a convenient location close to town, but still quite private. Dog friendly was a huge plus and my family had a wonderful stay.

Peaceful location

We commented several times during our stay how nice and quiet the location was. The home is just a couple minute drive to downtown Ellicottville for a meal or for a walk. We would stay here again if back in the area.

Wonderful eclipse stay!

Stayed here for the 2024 solar eclipse. The house is cozy and quaint. We really enjoyed the fireplace and of course the hot tub! We also enjoyed fishing in the pond on the property.

Great location - so much charm!

We loved our stay! The cottage was conveniently located 5 minutes from downtown and holiday valley. The cottage itself is really charming with LOTS of space. We had a group of 6 adults and easily could have accommodated another couple if not more. Communication with Jody was a breeze and everything was great. Absolutely recommend!

Amazing location with a Cozy house

Beautiful location, about an hour or so from Niagara Falls, with a nice pond stocked with fish (kids spend most of their time around the property either camping or fishing). House could accommodate all of us (5 adults and 4 children). We were during the heatwave and our Stay was pleasant and we enjoyed it. Highlight is the greenery and the grounds and the local ski town… highly recommended.

8 women. Late summer 2 night getaway. It had everything we needed. Fire pit, hot tub, stocked kitchen, reasonable privacy. Plenty of wood and towels. It was more spacious than i imagined. We could spread out and come together.

Great stay in EVL

We used to live in Ellicottville and are Bonaventure alums. We visited from Boston with our children for the long weekend. The house is spacious and cozy- great cabin feel with fabulous wood burning fireplace. Jody was great with her communications and checking in with us during a major snow storm! Our kids loved the hot tub and exploring the pond in the backyard. The upstairs shower felt like you were in nature. We had a great stay!

Holiday season kickoff

We chose this home because of the charm. It was straight from a Hallmark movie! The fireplace added such a cozy vibe. We utilized the hot tub day and night. The house’s location was just a short drive to downtown Ellicotville, where we enjoyed all of the Holiday season happenings. I would recommend this to family and friends, a true 10/10!

Just a three mile drive to downtown Ellicottville or Holiday Valley, but in the country so it's nice and peaceful.

What makes this property unique

My husband and I fell in love the first time we saw this property. We decided to purchase it as a family getaway and wanted to share it with others. The wood smell as you walk in the door relaxes you. We enjoy sitting by the fire and the peacefulness of the property and hope you enjoy it to.
