The cabin was exactly as described. Easy to find and clean inside. Conveniently close to Luray but far enough out that it’s quiet. Nice view of the river from the deck—great spot for your morning coffee. The host was very responsive to questions and the check-in/out process was easy.
The hot tub was wonderful! The bed in the main bedroom has the most comfortable matress imaginable! The three cabins are located pretty close together, so be prepared to be friendly with your neighbors or atleast hear them and their music when you are outside. The shower could use a revamp, and be prepared to live out of your luggage because there is no storage space. The outdoor area is beautiful, but there isnt anywhere to access the river unless you want to slide through lots of mud on the way. It was lovely sitting by the river and enjoying the wildlife though- we saw tons of birds and two deer during our stay. The fireflies in the evenings are spectacular. The TV cut off continuously, but it may have been user error and we weren't really there to watch much television anyway. This was my first VRBO without trash service, and having to drive our trash 8 minutes down the road was a hastle. Perhaps this is common in the area though. Overall we enjoyed our stay in this rustic little cabin. The location is wonderful, and we enjoyed the cornhole set and plentiful outdoor space.
Horrible stay and an absolute rip off. B grade. Not at all getting what you pay for. The cabin was dirty, antiquated, and not well stocked. The stuff that was there, was very low quality. Bathroom was gross, toilet paper as thin and cheap as it gets, shower small, shower curtain nasty. Kitchen gross. Old and inadequate. Dishes old and nasty. Futon was horrible. Mattress old and slipped right off base. Water smelled like rotten eggs. A lot of repairs needed. Deck had broken rungs - our toddler almost fell through!!!! We don’t smoke and smoke ashes / cigarettes left right by front door. Yes…allowing toddler to play with it like a sand pit…;Shower head corroded and needs replaced. Hot tub cover was broken off side. Hot tub water was old and not clean. (Over 200 days old as indicated on the hot tub control panel as well). If we get sick / have skin issues it’s not going to be good…. Overall a complete rip off and waste of money. Will not be recommending or staying again. Very disappointing. Also, no cell service (at least with Verizon). Not near the amenities & service we usually get for this price…
