Spring is almost here! Our lake, Mirror Lake, is beautiful and kayaks/canoes ready for use! Lakes/river and beach open in Riverbend. All local businesses, grocery and restaurants open! The filling of the big lake, Lake Lure has begun and the scheduled opening for boating and swimming is early Spring 2026.

We are centrally located to many activities such as pontoon boat rentals, zip-lining, kayaking, canoeing, snow tubing, snow skiing, horseback riding, white water rafting, , numerous golf courses, putt- putt, fishing, fly fishing, spectacular hiking trails, mountain bike trails, Lake/River side dining, Biltmore House and Asheville and numerous local wineries and breweries, Tryon Equestrian Center with daily horse events with dining and weekly summer festivals and concert, and much more! There are activities for every season!

Chipmunk Too Log Cabin sleeps up to 10 with spectacular lake/beach Mountain views. The upstairs has a king bedroom with a twin bed also and a loft area with seating. The main floor has two queen bedrooms and the living room open to the fully enclosed, covered deck overlooking the lake and beach area. The lower level has a set of bunkbeds and a queen futon sleeper and is open to the game room with pool table, large flat screen tv, playstation and sofa.
The lower level opens to the lower deck with seating and spectacular lake/mountain views. There are steps in back yard down to the lake/beach area and the riverwalk with waterfall is walking distance from the back yard- across the road from the beach. - Charcoal grill on deck. All linens/towels provided. Kitchen fully equipped for cooking.

When it's time to retire for the night, you'll find two well-appointed bathrooms, complete with towels and a hair dryer, ensuring your comfort. Drift off to sleep in the air-conditioned bedrooms, surrounded by the soothing sounds of the lake.

Enjoyed the quiet location and areas to walk around and explore outside. Indoor fireplace made things very cozy. Pool table was fun.Located close to things in Lake Lure.

The house was in great condition but didn't have many trash bags for use and I tried texting the owners multiple times about the wifi password because we couldn't find it anywhere but I never got any response. But other than communication everything was well

Thank you for your review. As stated in our check in/ welcome email, we supply starter paper products and supplies, which include enough supplies (trash bags/paper towels/toilet paper/dish soap/ dishwasher pods/ laundry soap) in case guests arrive late or without supplies. We do not provide supplies for your entire stay. This is typical of most vacation rentals. The wifi password, also in the check in email and on the frig in the cabin, was texted back to you in the morning. I don't see texts that come in after 11pm until the next morning.

We had the best time at this cabin! Lake and river were just steps away. I went with my two best friends and they got engaged by the lake. Will definitely be back!

Pet friendly lake house

Enjoyed our time here and appreciated that we were able to take our dog. Not to many places allow pets and this place did. We were very grateful we didn’t have to board her.

Very relaxing location. Beautiful lake with great location without the crowds. Cabin was very clean. I would have loved to have 2 canoes. We did not use the one that was there because we wanted to canoe in pairs and not alone. I would stay there again. We were very close to the lake with sand beach area and nature trail.

No issues with the host or booking. The place was poorly stocked, not kid friendly, no games or anything, steep stairs (bunkbeds typically implies the place is kid friendly), really old and uncomfortable furniture without enough seating in very tight main areas. The bathroom had no soaps for the shower so we had to go out and buy it. They only give you 2 pods for the dishwasher and 2 garbage bags so it was hard to do cleaning throughout our stay. When you pay as much as we did, you expect more. The listing was misleading in that it was a lofted area and a basement, then 2 bedrooms. The rooms were basic wood, so no noise control. I can appreciate rustic but at this price point the furniture and amenities should be well maintained but everything felt like garage sale finds. I wouldn't stay here again. I don't think it's a good option for more than one family, as it's too open and loud to feel comfortable.

Unfortunately this guest was charged a damage deposit. Please see our many, many 5 star reviews. To correct the misinformation in the retaliation review; The kitchen is fully stocked including crockpot, hand held mixer, emulsion mixer, coffee grinder, salad bowls, dinnerware for 12, plastic outside dinnerware, coffeepot and keurig etc. We provide all of our guest starter paper products including garbage bags and dishwasher pods, we do not supply personal.items. This info is in our check in info which is on the website and emailed prior to check in. We have 4 bedrooms, the upstairs King bedroom also has a twin bed and a loft seating area with lake views. There are two queen bedrooms on the main level and downstairs is a game room open to the bedroom with bunk beds. There are two bookcases with games and books as well as a pool table, tv with Playstation. Our cabin is an actual log cabin which is what this guest booked at a discounted, off season rate. Our furniture is a small sectional with a hand made high end log rocking chair and , beautiful log dining table. We appreciate all of our guests and our many return guests. It is unfortunate this guest could not appreciate a log home or a spectator lake view or the beautiful area we are in with waterfall and great hiking trails .

We had a great stay in the area was beautiful. I did think from the description that the beach was adjacent to the property or right down the steps in the backyard. Well that's a not exactly true but it is close and we had a lovely time

Family Place!

We brought our adult children here for a weekend stay in mid-November . We enjoyed the open kitchen/dining area, pool table, walks around lake. Sunrise is magnificent. Bring linens for downstairs bedroom —- pullout and sofa bed. The upstairs bedroom is a loft that is open to the living room/tv area so arrange your early-to-bed people accordingly. You will love this place!

The place was clean, and the view was awesome! We loved being close to the lake, it was so much fun! Things I wish I knew... we ended up going out to buy inner tubes, so bring bring rafts, and life vests! It was so much fun floating down the river ! Bring toilet paper, trash bags and laundry detergent ! Overall it was a great stay!

A little piece of heaven

The location was perfect! Across from the pavilion and atop a hill with perfect views of the lake. Peace and quiet reign ed suoreme. The house was perfect to suit our needs and the deck overlooking the lake was our constant hangout!! Kitchen was well equipped and the pool table was used a lot. The stone surrounds in the showers was striking. But the roads were were excellent...narrow in places but well taken care of. All in all...a memorable vacation in a lovely peaceful setting.

Girls weekend

I tried several times to get early check in. Had people coming from different states. Never received an answer. The house needs some updating. The house is advertised as four bedroom. It is a two bedroom, so it lacked privacy we were looking for. Had an ant problem. The view from the mountains and lake was beautiful.

I responded to your numerous requests via email and texts and explained more than once, we could not provide an early check in when we had guests checking out that morning and we could not have some guests go in early while housekeepers were working. As our listing describes and I described in reply to the numerous emails you sent- the 4th bedroom is open to the game room with a queen futon sleeper and a set of bunk beds with another deck with seating. Our cabin is a log cabin. All appliances are new and the kitchen has been updated.

Starting off the trip we lost cell service at the entry gate and didn’t get to put the actual cabin address in. The road to the cabin was a one car gravel road and not made for small cars. Once we finally found the cabin getting into the house was easy. Upon first glance the cabin looked okay. However, cobwebs all over the place, there was pee in the downstairs bathroom, the shower drain downstairs was disgusting. The cleanliness of this place is terrible. The pool table has broken sticks the balls are dead and the pockets are broken (terrible). I really wanted to love this place because it does have a decent view but was tempted to go stay in a hotel!

Thanks for the review. Wow, I am a little shocked. The cabin address comes up easily on GPS. Service is no issue with any carrier here. There are some areas where service comes and goes,such as winding mountain roads, but not in Riverbend. We have never had a guest that could not find this cabin. The cabin was cleaned three days prior to your arrival so it is very possible there were some cobwebs outside, it is Spring in the mountains. However, I walked through the cabin after it was cleaned and there was not urine anywhere in any bathroom. Housekeeping checks all drains after each checkout when cleaning showers.and bathrooms. There is a brand new set of billiard balls on the bookshelf behind the pool table as well as new Cue Sticks in the holder on the wall, plainly visible. There is also older set that the last guests used that our housekeeper displayed on the pool table when your group checked in. We are sorry you did not enjoy the spectacular views, make use of the canoes for a day on the lake or even enjoy the hot tub at sunset, it is spectacular over the lake!

Nice Views!

We were very happy with the wonderful view and the effort to have quality cabin furnishings and décor. Very much enjoyed the deck and fireplace. Seating area was smaller than expected but fine for the 4 of us. The kitchen is mostly furnished but only one wine glass. We used the two bedrooms, but be aware there is absolutely NO privacy between them and you can hear even low conversation. Also, the smaller bedroom could use a new mattress. The 2nd bathroom is in the basement with steep steps to it so unusable for us in the middle of the night. And very steep steps to the lake below. Pool table was a nice extra. The only real complaint is that the actual housekeeping fee was 50% higher than advertised on the listing and so was a bit deceptive. Would stay again.

Thanks for taking the time to review, always appreciated! We have 7 wine glasses. I agree we should have a full set and have added more. I am sorry you had an issue. There are two bedrooms on main level and the walls are thick log walls with thick log doors. We have never had a guest have a problem with privacy before. The mattresses are less than 2 years old but are firm, and I do understand that some people do not like firm mattresses. We are in the mountains overlooking the lake. The steps are wide stone steps with a hand rail. I am.sorru you had an issue. We have not had any other guests have issue with the steps. PLEASE NOTE- The housekeeping fee is listed as $150 online, again in the cabin and also in the check in info you received prior to arrival. It does not ever change. Again, thanks for writing a review!
