• Conveniently located 5 min from Lake George Village and 10 min from Bolton.
• Guests have lake access to both our very quiet and private association beach and also to Hearthstone Point state beach, both are only about a half mile walk/drive across the road and all rentals include free entry pass to Hearthstone.
• All rentals include fresh linens and towels at the beginning of your stay.

Saturday to Saturday weekly rentals. No pets. Smoking outside only. Cabin is accessed by a gravel road so drive slow. Cabin borders Lakeshore Dr. / Rt 9N and road is very busy on weekends and during special events (Americade early June and Adirondack Nationals early Sept). The fireplace inside is not used for safety reasons. AC is in main room and main bedroom only, fans are used to cool the bedrooms. Security cameras are outside only and only used in the off season. Private beach is 'no fishing' and hand launch only for small watercraft. Path to the private beach is quite steep from the parking area (see map in the photos) so Hearthstone may be a better choice if mobility is a concern. Cellular reception can be limited but WIFI calling works well. Small trailers (jet ski's, fishing boats) may be parked at the cabin. ANY questions at all please just ask.

Quaint, little cabin in the woods. Location is nice, with view of lake. Access to private beach is within walking distance. Neighbors are friendly. Would stay again.

Just what we expected, a great little cabin off Lake George.
Extremely clean with all the amenities needed. The owner, Scott, was extremely helpful and had great recommendations on where to go and where to eat. Would highly recommend him to all.

Thank you David, greatly appreciate the review and am so glad you enjoyed the cabin and our area.
We were very happy with our stay in the cabin. Very close to town. Very cozy cabin and was very clean and just perfect for a getaway. Much nicer than staying in a hotel. Enjoyed sitting on the deck and sitting by the firepit at night. Scott was great with giving us details on the everything to do with the Cabin. We definitely will book our stay here again next time we visit Lake George

Cabin was very clean and well maintained.
Living room very comfortable. Loved the outside deck and yard with fire pit. Beds had comfortable mattress but only full size, queen would be better. But, overall would definitely recommend.

Thank you Gary. Agree that a Queen (at least in the larger BR) would be nice, I'll look to upgrade. Glad you enjoyed the fire pit area, that's my favorite place.

We are originally form this area of New York and moved to Pittsburgh 20 years ago. We have been back a number of times, renting a place centrally located so that friends and family can come and visit. This property provided very comfortable accommodations and plenty of room, inside and out, to truly enjoy catching up with some of our favorite people! Roomy inside with a lovely enclosed porch and great outdoor areas. The deck was spacious with plenty of seating and a table with an umbrella. The patio had lovely Adirondack style furniture with an awesome fire pit that we used almost every night. Scott was incredibly attentive and responsive any time I reached out to him. This is a place we will look to rent again when we come back to the lovely Adirondacks.

Charming cabin, detrimental location near highway
Cabin itself was nice but road noise prevents me from giving a higher rating. It went on day and night, which was not what I was looking for in an experience at Lake George. I also had issues with ants in the kitchen and needed replacement light bulbs in the main living space. There were none and I had to make a special trip to the village to get some. Minor irritants but still annoying.

James, sorry you did not have a great experience at the cabin. Since I did not receive any requests / emails / texts / phone calls from you during your stay it's a bit of a surprise to receive a marginal review.
As to your specific feedback... road noise is present with all properties near Lakeshore drive and the Village, not much I can do about that one though I did put up a solid fence around the patio and the interior is certainly quiet. For ants, we are on a routine pest control program and I would have had the service come up same day to treat if you had just let me know. I'm just glad the bear did not stop by (just kidding). Same with the lightbulbs, a simple call / email / text and I would have informed you there are replacements in the closet or I could have easily come up to replace a bulb.
In general I always work to make every guest comfortable and happy with their choice. On another platform I have a 4.9 / 5 rating, from 89 reviews, and it's not by accident. If guests can communicate, good hosts usually resolve minor annoyances pretty quick or possibly refund if expectations are not met.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
“Private beach” = “access to a motel beach”
This listing is extremely deceptive. If it seems like this property is right on the water, that’s by design — and it’s totally false. The pictures and description make you believe you’re on the lake. However, the lake is actually down a street, down the hill, across a road, up the street, down another hill, past the motel, through a neighborhood, then down a steep footpath. The “private beach” in the pictures isn’t close to the property, and really isn’t private. You are not on the water, despite the owner’s best attempts to show the property that way in pictures. It’s actually quite remarkable how close he makes the house seem to the lake given how far it is. If you look *very* carefully at the pictures, you can see there is a road separating you from the lake, but you will have to closely examine the images. Overall, the house is small and outdated, and the two beds are just full size — apparently with a couch that pulls out? — but the home does have charm. The small outdoor space is also enjoyable, particularly if you like campfires, and the house seemed clean. But it’s dishonest to present this house the way Scott has chosen. If you also read the feedback from previous guests, you’ll see that Scott has a tendency to respond extremely disrespectfully, which certainly rubbed me the wrong way. I would recommend giving your money to someone else and staying at a house actually on the lake.

Please judge for yourself - read the description - view the photos. And if you have any questions simply ask me before booking, I respond quickly. * 1. Location: the exact property location is "opted in" to accurately display the location, as shown by the location pin, on the location map. * 2. Description states "Guests have lake access to both our very quiet and private association beach and also to Hearthstone Point state beach, both are only about a half mile walk/drive across the road." So it's a privately owned, association beach, that is across the road. * 3. Bedrooms: Both are listed as "Double". And I even added "Full" in the description just to be clear. * 4. My responses to prior guests are of course available before you book, but again, you be the judge. So, to my future guests, I currently have 130 reviews on another site with a 4.84 / 5 overall and 4.9 / 5 on accuracy - with the exact same pictures and exact same description - I uploaded proof in the pictures or feel free to search on your own.
What a lovely cabin. It was a perfect place for a fall getaway. Perfect location for access to both Lake George Village and Bolton Landing. Relaxing evenings by the fire pit to the comfy feeling of the cabin. Lovely property.

Thank you for the great review, glad that you enjoyed it! Hope to host again someday, Scott
The cottage was so charming and fit our family perfectly. It is conveniently located to access the lake’s beaches and marinas. The fire area was well-maintained and very enjoyable. Having laundry onsite was a big plus. I also appreciated the generous cable options and reliable WIFI, as it rained a bit during our stay and we were able to watch TV and movies. Many other vacation homes I’ve stayed in do not have reliable WIFI. The owner is very accommodating and you can tell he cares about the home and its guests. He is very accessible, which provides a lot of peace of mind when traveling. I would certainly recommend this home for small groups/couples. My only advice would be if you have not been to Lake George before, skip the kayaks and rent a boat! We brought our kayaks but didn’t use them, since the lake is so big, but the boat rental was so fun we went back for a second day on the water!

Thank you for the detailed review Lauren, I'm delighted that you had such a great stay!
The cabin could use some updating but it was clean. The location was not good too noisy the traffic noise and yard service next door were horrible. Enjoyed camp fire.

Response from VrboOwner on 2 Aug, 2020
Not sure what 'yard service next door' means - we have two quiet and respectful neighbors, maybe one decided to mow his lawn? I really don't know. Also, Theresa let her grand kid PAINT my landscaping rock blue and pink, now I need to pressure wash it and destroy 70+ years of natural patina.
This was our first time in lake George and we couldn't have had a better time. Having two toddlers we were worried about where to stay but this cabin was perfect. It was close to the village and was perfect for our needs. Scott was very accommodating and had the house stocked with all the basic essentials. He also was quick to respond with the few questions we had while there. I would definitely recommend!

Sweet little cabin close to Lake George
What a great little place! The cabin was very clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. The owner was great and very accommodating - especially when we lost power twice. Not the owners fault! But Lake George + bad storms = power loss. Next time we would definitely bring candles and extra jugs of water (as the water is on a pump). Outdoor seating areas were lovely and the beach was a short, easy walk away. The beach was so beautiful and private. The guests we shared the area with were all very nice. There are plenty of little markets and delis to grab quick food items as well, and restaurants and bars all very close. We would most definitely stay again!

Response from VrboOwner on 21 Mar, 2020
Thank you Maggie! Glad you enjoyed your stay and got to use our secluded little beach... I love it there. And you were a great guest, certainly welcome back anytime. I also like the idea of having some extra water in case of a (somewhat rare) power loss and have added a full 5 gallon container to the items that are included. My goal is to let my guests spend time enjoying their stay, not hunting down the small necessities. Thank again for a great review, Scott
