Prospector Condo 171 - Moutain escape with Pool, Hot Tub, & Tennis Court

This 2-bedroom plus loft/3-bath condo offers clean basic accommodations with simple furnishings. This is one of the largest Prospectors available, with 1,900 square feet and room for 6 guests. It is located next to one of the complex hot tubs and is just a short walk across the creek to the tennis and swimming facility during the summer. The large great room windows and high ceilings create a bright, airy feeling.

Entering on the ground level, guests will find a large sunken living room with a vaulted ceiling, a gas fireplace, and a 26-inch flat-screen TV with cable. The dining table seats six. A round breakfast/card table for four is situated near the windows with Bald Mountain views. The fully equipped kitchen offers granite counters. Please note, this unit does not have A/C.

The master bedroom, which is also located on the main floor level, has a king bed, an 18-inch flat-screen TV, and a full en-suite bathroom with dual vanities and tub/shower combo. Upstairs is the 2nd bedroom that can be set up as two twin beds or a king bed and has Mt Views, a full en-suite bathroom with single vanity and tub/shower combination. Also on this level is the loft bedroom that can be set up as two twin beds or a king bed and has Mt views and a full en-suite bathroom with a single vanity and tub/shower combination. The loft is open to the living room below.

There is a ski closet next to the front door. There is free outdoor parking in front of the unit and a coin-operated laundry in the complex. PARKING IS LIMITED TO 1 VEHICLE. Campers, RVs, and trailers are not allowed. Per the HOA, no pets are allowed for vacation rental guests. This property has a 30-night minimum stay during ski season.

Complex Features: Prospector Condominiums provide a great location for both winter and summer activities. Located on Warm Springs Creek just off Skiway Drive, the Prospector complex is within walking distance of Warm Springs lifts on Bald Mountain. The Prospectors offer three on-site hot tubs, and in the summer there is an outdoor swimming pool (July and August Only) and private tennis courts. There is a free shuttle that picks up about a block away from the condo which will transport you to the ski lifts on Bald Mountain, downtown Ketchum, and to the Sun Valley Resort.

Please Note: No pets allowed. This unit is professionally managed, and all check-ins are at the Alpine Lodging Office, conveniently located on South Main Street in Ketchum. Self-check-in is not available at the property. We strive to make check-in as quick and easy as possible so you can start enjoying your vacation! Reservations are unit-specific. We do everything possible to keep your reservation in the same property you’ve reserved. If the property has a maintenance emergency, we will contact you with the option to move your reservation to a property of equal or greater value, at no additional cost.

Great location!

Perfect location close to Warm Springs base - short walk. Plenty of room for family of 5. Living area seating has been updated from what photos show and allows for seating for everyone. Lots of natural light. Kitchen had everything we needed. Basic, functional place to stay at a great price.

A lovely condo close to the Warm Springs lift

My wife and I and daughter and son-in-law had a lovely week in the condo. The kitchen was spacious and provisioned well. The living room and dining alcove off the kitchen made for relaxing spots after a hard day of skiing. The beds were comfortable and the linens plentiful. We recommend this condo highly for any family or group of 4-6 who come to Sun Valley to ski and want to be close to the slopes.

there were some issues around Hot Tub Access It had been locked for maintenance even though it worked. By the third the day it was opened.

Great Ski Weekend

Overall, this property is phenomenal. We were able to walk right to Baldy mountain, and easily take the free bus into town for Apres ski. The beds were very comfortable, and each room having a bathroom was perfection. Place gets lots of light, has tons of charm, and the fireplace was an added bonus. With six people, the showers did run out of hot water, pretty quickly. And the hot tub closest to us was ice cold, but the other hot tubs were warm. Just a bit of a walk in the freezing cold to get to them.

Also, the property hot tub right next to us that was bragged about didn't work. If you don't mind EXTRA FIRM mattresses and you don't mind walking 100 yards to the nearest hot tub that works, this property is great.

"Walk to lifts"

Overall good. It's .34 miles to the Warm Springs Challenger lift so that's a bit of a push in ski boots. However, there is a parking lot near the lifts that seems to be under used . That makes it much more convenient.

Sun Valley Ski

The Prospector 171 was a great jumping-off point for our various adventures in the Ketchum area. Couldn't be more convenient for skiing the resort, and was close to town for getting out to the north or south. The condo itself is a little dated, but totally clean and comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen and great common spaces for relaxing with friends and enjoying meals. The hot tub around the corner was a bonus!

Great location.

The location of the house is great, walking distance from the warm springs lifts. The house itself is excellent; really comfy beds and linens, furniture is in great shape. My only complain is that it does not have a washing machine inside the apartment.There are washing machines in the complex but are coin operated.

Perfect location and great size for group

The property is super clean and well stocked. It had plenty of room, stayed nice and cool and was quiet. We really enjoyed our stay there. We were disappointed, however, that we were told the pools were closed yet we saw many people going in and out and using them. Aside from that, the condo is great!
