I've been visiting High Lonesome for 10 years now and I love it more and more with every visit. Robb makes communication and check in super easy and the cabin is so charming and peaceful--but he really does mean it when you need AWD or 4WD to access this beautiful oasis up a long steep gravel driveway! I hope you book and enjoy it as much as I do.

We enjoyed our stay! The place was nicely decorated, had great wifi, and was secluded and peaceful. We saw hummingbirds at the feeders and heard several birds. It was the perfect spot to chill.

I cannot say enough how awesome it was to sit on the porch in the morning, drink a coffee with my wife and dog, while hearing and seeing the buzz of a humming bird feet from our seat…with a cascading view of the blue ridge mountains. Host was great house was exactly as listed!

Me and the wife loved it! Driveway made us want to cry but it wasn’t bad with 4wd. We had never used it before but it worked out great! Cabin was cozy and nice set up! Absolutely loved the peace and quiet! Our pitbull loved it too! He felt right at home and enjoyed sniffing everything

Great stay. We appreciated being able to check in early and check out late. The fireplace was great as well, and that pets are welcome. It definitely won't work for someone using 2WD, even without snow and ice. We would stay again!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at High Lonesome Cabin. Robb shared detailed instructions and information for our stay. The cabin had everything we needed for cooking and entertainment. We loved the proximity to fantastic hiking trails. We can’t wait to come back and see all the location has to offer in other seasons.

This was our second time staying at High Lonesome cabin and we just love the peaceful, coziness of the cabin. The cabin is very well appointed and the stay was very comfortable. We love sitting on the porch watching the sun come up and go down.

I had an amazing stay at this cabin. The value is incredible for what you get. Honestly, the cabin is even nicer in person than the photos make it look. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well kept.What I loved most was how quiet and secluded it felt. It was the perfect place to relax, unplug, and enjoy some peace and quiet. The setting is beautiful and very private, which made the experience even better.I had a fantastic time and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.
