This beachfront home is waiting for a large family to enjoy the 5 bedrooms plus Den, 5.5 baths, spacious entertaining area and a large gourmet kitchen. In addition, enjoy the expansive decks and screened in porch with views to the Bay. Walk to the end of the driveway and see the boardwalk leading to the communities private beach. Walk to the end of the block and enjoy the community pool. Take advantage of 2 convenient outdoor enclosed showers to shake the sand or chlorine off before entering the home.

We had such a great time here for a large family gathering. The house was very clean and well equipped and perfect for our party of 11. The beach is just a short walk away. Great communication too with the owner to help us get in when I deleted the welcome email by mistake!

Family vacation to celebrate a milestone birthday

The property was beautiful and exactly how it was advertised. The bay was private and beautiful. The pool was also clean and enticing. Plenty of room for all my kids their spouses and my grandson and the doggies!

You do get the best of both worlds staying at Bay Dunes. The private beach access starts right past the driveway and the Community pool is just down the street. Awesome location!!!

We choose this loacation in Cape Charles due to the COVID craziness and it did not disappoint!!! Very clean and very private compared to other vacation hotspots like Myrtle Beach and Virginia Beach. Will definitely be coming back in the future!!!

Our stay in Port Charles, VA

Despite some rough weather, we all had a great time. The house is beautiful with great views and only a short walk to the beach or a private pool. Our grandchildren loved it as did the adults. When weather dictated indoors activities, we went to the very friendly town of Port Charles or to the aquarium in Norfolk. We would definitely go again.

This was an end of the Summer family vacation. First time on the eastern shore. House was great, in a great location. Probably the best stocked house that we had stayed from kitchen appliances and utensils to beach chairs and floats. Looking forward to going back

Our Stay

We were very pleased with the size of the house. Our large family was comfortable and we were able to enjoy activities together or go off by ourselves too. Just a couple of items: slow drainage in one shower downstairs, very dirty grill on deck, and the sink in island didn’t work. But no big issues and the private beach and pool were wonderful.

House was great overall. A/C was out on the main upstairs floor. We were credited 50% for the inconvenience. Hoevever, It did affect the overall time by all.

Beautiful Spacious Home with Lots of Space

My family and I can't stop talking about this house and how much we enjoyed waking up together and celebrating Thanksgiving! This house had everything we wanted and needed to get our mini vacation started. We cooked, ate, watched football, and strolled along the beach to burn off calories😁 We highly recommend this home for large families who need lots of bathrooms and require a walk along a secluded, private beach. PS, the owner is kind and accommodating. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay. You WILL see us again!

Our family appreciates the small town atmosphere of Cape Charles and the Bay Dunes community provides comfortable beach rental accommodations for the whole family. The house was perfect, it had everything we needed and even included fun water floats and toys for use on the beach and nearby community pool. The house was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the wooded setting and saw lots of wildlife. We rented kayaks and we’re very happy with the service. Pickup and drop off made it a very simple process. Our rental agent was kind and helpful and responded promptly when contacted. A great place, highly recommend!

Lovely home on a private beach

We loved the private beach and easy access. The kids loved the pool and tennis courts. It was a big bonus to have a private bath for each bedroom, plus a powder room & the outside showers. Loved that we could all fit at the dining room table. Favorite reading spaces were the screened porch & nook off the main living area. We didn't have any internet issues, but had trouble getting/making calls.

Gorgeous, Private Vacation

This property was absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. A great layout for 3 families with kids ranging ages 5-17. Plenty of privacy both in and around the house. A short and easy walk to a private beach - we saw very few people all week. Low tide allowed for hours of safe, fun play in the bay for the kids. The drive to the grocery store and downtown was 10-15 min and very easy. We went to the grocery store several times and didn’t lose a lot of vacation time. Lots of fun beach toys and beach chairs were available in the garage. The two dishwashers was a HUGE help and the common spaces were fantastic for gathering. We loved hearing birds sing and waves at the same time while on the porch. We are hoping to stay again!
