About this space
La Biblioteca is the enchanting guesthouse on a magical 10-acre property in Abiquiu, NM. Originally built as a library for the main house, it's now a unique 1-BR cottage. Nestled in the landscape made famous by Georgia O'Keeffe, the house has jaw-dropping views from every window and the porch! We absolutely rent to all races, genders, and religions.
The space
The Biblioteca is a 1-bedroom cottage deep in the landscape made famous by Georgia O'Keeffe. First it was a stone shed. Then a library was built nearby. Finally a rusted steel enclosed structure connected the two, and this extraordinary cottage was born! A bedroom with a couch and sitting area, a kitchen/dining area and a lavish stone bathroom awaits your visit. There's no separate living room, but the front porch serves as a sitting area with views to swoon for! Come visit this eclectic abode in some of the most beautiful landscape in America! Far off the main road so there's no traffic noise!
Guest access
The whole place is yours. La Biblioteca shares 10+ acres with the main house, Casa Tacoya. Two propane stoves heat this perfect little house, looking out towards Pedernal!
Other things to note:
Just fyi, there are some neighborhood dogs nearby who may bark now and then. And some coyotes and owls you may hear too!
We have only one close neighbor and she is a lovely person, but we ask that you please don't disturb her! We want to be a good thing in everyone's eyes!
If you plan to bring a pet, please disclose at booking. The dog rules are no pups on furniture and no pups left alone in the house unless kenneled. We used to charge a pet fee, but now I'm trying out a policy where I ask guests with pets to leave a nice tip for my housekeeper.
