We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was clean and stocked well. The dock and screened in porch were a HUGE score with the family. Was not far to launch the boat at the Georgia Mtn Fairgrounds (no fee). Lovely private cove on the lake. We could not have been more pleased. We will be back.
We were in Hiawassee for a family member’s funeral. The house was perfect for our family to reminisce, celebrate our loved one and enjoy each other. The house was clean and had all the appliances and supplies we needed. The dock and hot tub were an added bonus. We all enjoyed the screened porch especially in the evening.
Lucille was great and very responsive to our calls and texts. We will definitely stay there again

Harriet and her family were wonderful guests. They took amazing care of our property and treated it with much respect. We look forward to hosting them in the future!
We stayed the weekend and visited Oktoberfest in Helen. The property is well cared for and mostly really clean. The only suggestion I would have is a bit of attention is needed for the downstairs patio. The filter light was on for the hot tub and the light fixture is full of dead bugs. Inside the house is exceptionally clean though, I would definitely recommend this place!

We are happy to hear that you had a nice stay. We strive to make sure our guests are happy with the accommodations. We check the hot tub filter regularly, we are sorry if the light caused you any inconvenience. Due to the fact that we are located in a very wooded area bugs in the light fixtures are a common problem and we do address that often.
We look forward to hosting you in the future.
Cottage is cute! Pictures don't do it justice. Located on deep water cove, it was perfect for family down time.
Hottub was nice, although adding solar lights to steps would make it easier to get down.
Jacuzzi tub in master bath wasn't working. And be careful of driveway after rain, it's very slick and steep.
Lucille very responsive to questions, very helpful.
Overall, nice place which is just as represented in Pictures.
We had a great time! Lucille was great to work with. The only negative I can say is the bedrooms get hot at night. Beautiful lake cabin. We will be back
Perfect for our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids). Might be a little tighter for a larger family, but exactly what we needed. Everything was clean and in working order. We also rented a boat and kept it tied up at the dock for 3 days with no problems. We'd stay here again for sure.
Would be a great property if it was taken care of. Type of owner who only improves things if they have to. Everything is dated. Heavy dust. Lots of dusty fake plants/trees & heavy drapery. House needs a deep clean. HVAC room below is disgusting- filled with trash, but no rafts, toys, life jackets. Disgusting windows, many screens with holes, including patio, allowing bugs in. Whole house needs a pressure washing. Planters under windows haven’t seen life in years, no love is put into this house.
Treacherous stairs. Only dock in cove without a boat slip. Only way out was a rickety pool ladder covered in algae. Only attached by a U shape latch on each side with two screws. Screw holes were rotted- U latch came up when the ladder was used, ladder slipped out of latch. So first time in the lake I had to hang on to dock, pull myself up 3 feet & try to guide the ladder back in at a 90 degree angle. Barely supported me-felt it about to give. Next time, one of the steps, attached with two rivets on each side, gave way, pinching my foot between the sharp metal edge. They sent a guy out who screwed down the latches into the same stripped hole. Sure enough, my next, & last time, the ladder did the same exact same thing. I tried to skip the broken step, but when the screw came out of the deck again, I fell & HAD to use the stair to get out. It gave way with a quarter of my weight.
I would never type this much detail, or leave a neg review. However, when I told the manager they should replace the ladder for future guests, she said “I’ll see what the owner says”. Huh? Then, they msgd later saying the bottom stair wasn’t broken the first time they came out, & now it was. The picture their helper took showed the stair had one of two rivets broken- making it crooked- it was hanging by a thread. I pointed this out to them & told them again what happened. Again, mngr says “I’ll let you know what the owner says, could you send us a picture of your cut foot, we said we would render aid” Huh? Again, just pointing out they have a dangerous $50 20 yr old pool ladder, when nice ones made of galvanized piping are only $150. 10 docks in the cove, this was the only unsafe one with this thin aluminum frame. I knew it wouldn’t be done while I was there, I was simply alerting the owner. Instead, I got accused of I’m not even sure what exactly. The response I got, I had to warn other renters- especially if they still put guests’ lives in danger instead of spending $150.
Although we had a few problems the manager was very quick to resolve all issues. The location is incredible. Wonderful lake view in an area we couldn't do everything we wanted because of weather and time.
Stayed with my family (6yr old and 3yr old). They loved the hot tub and the ability to walk to the little dock and fish. Beds were comfortable, no problems for my bad hip. Neighborhood was easy to get in and out of, very peaceful.
The pictures do not do this place justice. I almost want to write a bad review so I can have this place to myself lol. The view from the porch and hot tub area is the best part of this rental. The house was clean and a perfect size for us (3 couples). A special shout out to the property manager for helping us get checked in and settled. She was great and we will definitely be booking again in the future!
The cottage is in a great location and the view is even better. We brought a fishing boat and enjoyed having it parked at our own dock. The kitchen is well appointed and the beds were comfortable. Best of all was the screened in porch!

Nice little lake cabin
Nice little get away spot. Summer time rental would be great here for lake I'm sure. Could bring your boat or jet ski and enjoy the lake. Nothing fancy, but you are in a nice cove off the main lake.
Mountain views were beautiful from the screened in porch while sipping coffee in the mornings. Bedroom TVs are updated now, if you care about that. Just noticed other reviewers mention dated TVs.
Communications could have been a little better, BUT it was a late reservation request (due to a double booking on another property) and in between the Christmas and New Year holidays. Main property manager was on vacation and some newer managers were in charge that were not familiar with vrbo. I had to request check-in info on the way to the property, but don't let that hinder your decision to stay. Was able to call and figure out what I needed to do. Very nice and friendly locals manage the property. They offered some great places to visit and eat. ,
Cabin has anything you need and is a short drive to many great towns and attractions. I'd stay here again.
From booking to checking out this was the most relaxing vacation ever! Sharon and Luciell were easy and helpful to work with.
Super clean house and property.
Sunrises on the screen porch and fishing and swimming off the dock were what the doctor ordered!
So quiet we could sleep whenever and however long we wanted.
Fully stocked kitchen and grill to cook when we wanted.
Clean hot tub to end the day on.
We are dreaming about our return.

Home can use a deep cleaning and updating. The location is great. The beds were comfortable. The decor and furnishings were old and dated.

Great location, views, and lake access
We had a group of 6 that stayed in this home and loved it. Access to the lake is very easy being in a nice cove. The dock and deck offer beautiful views of the mountains over the lake. Lucille is very nice and pleasant to work with. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to all!

Lakeside Hideaway at Cedar Cliff A little slice of paradise!!
We loved the view from the back porch, the dock and the Jacuzzi Hottub! We were welcomed by Lucille, who was very pleasant and informative. It was especially nice to have squeaky clean rooms...
The home was cleaner then most hotels!!
It was great to have the private dock and swim platform, the water was warm, and really clean
We only wish we had more time to spend!
We will be coming back soon!!

Private, Peaceful & Perfect
With 4 adults, a small child & two small dogs this lakeside cabin could not have been more perfect. It is in a beautiful, quiet cove where we enjoyed fishing & swimming without worry of boats. It has a newer dock that was great for setting in our canoe that we brought along. The front porch, which was shady 100% of the time, was the ideal spot for our two small dogs & for relaxing during the brief rain showers. It was a good size home, very clean & just right for us. The home feels far away from town but was only a few minutes away from restaurants & grocery stores. The property manager was very nice & helpful upon our arrival. Bitter Creek Market on the way to Blairsville was a great place for groceries, deli meats, grilling meats & BBQ. We highly recommend Lakeside Hideaway!

Family Trip
My family stayed at Hideaway for a brief 4day/3nt trip from Athens (just under 2hours away). It felt like going to a different world to escape the heat and enjoy the cool mountain lake. The location of this property on the lake couldn't be better. The views from this house are spectacular long distance water and NC mountains. We also appreciated that the property was pet friendly. The dock is tucked away in a deep water cove perfect for swimming. My teenage son liked the high speed internet to stay connected. Thanks to Lucille and Sharon for taking great care of us.
