The snowmobile trail is easy to get to and I will provide directions to the trails after you have agreed to stay at Park Place North. There is plenty of parking for snowmobile trailers

The house is on a gravel road but it is well traveled and the snow is removed on a regular basis in the winter. During the summer, yes it is dusty but many a motorcycle has traveled the road

Water problem

Awesome home and property. Had everything that we needed, except for running water. Arrived in the evening for a funeral the next day, spent the 1st 5 hours w no water. Nit ideal arter travelling all day and worrging about showers. Host was excellent to work w, had somebody out right away. Finally had water after midnight.

Explore mines and lighthouses. Hike trails to waterfalls or Lake Superior. Bring your own or rent 4 wheelers, side by sides or snowmobiles. Sample a pasty or two. Visit with the locals. Star gaze.

Why they chose this property

Tapiola is a small rural area with many Finnish Americans. A central spot for day trips to Lake Superior, Copper Harbor, Porcupine Mountains, Pictured Rocks, Michigan Tech, Calumet, Quincy, Painesdale or Delaware Mines.

What makes this property unique

The covered bridge in the woods with a toll house next to it makes Park Place North a quiet retreat to sit back and enjoy friends and family. A walk through the woods and yard might stir up deer, turkeys or partridge. The decks on the house provide ample space to relax Inside fireplaces can take off the chill of a snowy day. If you’re a reader, I bet there’s a couple books in the library you’d enjoy Fall leaves are beautiful. The sky is so blue.
