The house was beautiful, clean and cozy! We loved the location. The hot tub was great! The host was super helpful and responsive. Thank you for opening your property to us!
The positives of this rental are: cleanliness, the owner was very responsive to our questions/concerns, comfortable beds. The items that can be improved are: no ice maker (nor ice cube trays), the inside door brackets in the refrigerator are gone (so there is minimal storage on the refrigerator door), 2 of the bedrooms do not have closets and one of those doesn't have any storage for clothing, the deck has boards popping up and rotting and there isn't an outdoor table for dining out.
My family gathered from California, Virginia & New Jersey for a weekend of fun but our lodging was a huge disappointment. The house was clean but that’s as good as it got. The furniture was sparse. Both sofas in the living room had stains on them. The blinds in the living room were missing pieces and broken in numerous places, the refrigerator smelled terrible like fish. We saw a mouse in the kitchen near the stove and found mouse droppings on the kitchen counter and in several drawers. There was black mold in the bathroom on the second floor in old trim around the tub, the bath towels were old and paper thin, in one of the bedrooms there was a twin bed directly in front of a door leading outside. No one could sleep in the bed due to It being very drafty and the homeowner tried to hang an old rug to cover the window on the door instead of a curtain. The basement was very cold. The bedroom in basement was a joke. The twin beds were almost on the floor because they did not have box springs. The backyard was littered with trash. The trash receptacle on the side of the house was completely full when my family arrived. We had to place our trash bags on the ground outside of the trash receptacle. Our stay at the house was a nightmare!
