The Starfish is located downtown in the heart of beautiful Boothbay Harbor.

This charming rental has one Queen size bed, and a queen sized futon in living room. Additionally it has Internet, DirecTV, and a fully stocked kitchen and front loader washer/dryer. This apartment has been completely renovated in 2016 and is bright and very comfortable. NON-SMOKING UNIT & BUILDING.

The location is right in the heart of the Harbor just steps away from shopping, restaurants and the waterfront activities. It is on the second floor and has views of the harbor from the bedroom & full views of the quant golden triangle which is exquisitely lit up in the evening and in the heart ❤️ of town.

Our very quant beautiful harbor offers many activities including kayaking, paddle boarding, whale watching excursions, daily harbor tours, daily sunset tour, trolley rides, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, and The Gardens A Glow (seasonally) many preserves for hiking, LOTS of Antiquing and many fantastic restaurants and shopping, most just step out the door!!

We also can be found in the Boothbay Harbor Mart & Country Store!

Boothbay Harbor Mart & Country Store is centrally located if you need a great cup of organic fresh brewed coffee, a breakfast or lunch snack, a cold Beer or a bottle of Wine, Spirits even a cooler to hold it all in. For those who forget or just like to pack light, we also have toothbrushes, sunscreen, dramamine, and many toiletries/remedies and necessities.

Fantastic location in Boothbay

The apartment was great - light and clean and met all of our needs. What set this stay apart was the location right in the heart of town and the helpfulness of the owner who gave us with great local advice. Wonderful trip and hope to come back again.

Quick get away. The location was perfect walking distance to everything. Only thing that we noticed was the bed creaked loudly every time you moved but it was comfortable.

Patty and Marc are great. Location is beyond convenient if your purpose is to come to boothbay harbor and enjoy the quaint wharf and shopping and the food. Starfish is sunny well appointed and clean. Enjoyed are stay.

Cute, clean rental for us and our 2 little pups. The host and hostess were readily available if needed (which they weren't :)) and offered some great suggestions for the area. The rental is right on the harbor, local to shops and restaurants. Highly recommended!

Best little place to stay to enjoy the Boothbay area - stayed a few years ago and had been waiting to come back - Small but so comfortable and can’t beat the location! Patty has it decorated so cute! Loved all the beach accents. So awesome that it’s pet friendly too so my little Poppy could enjoy it too! Hope to visit again sometime!

Great location owned by nice people

Crazy good location. Steep narow stairs. Heating was hard to use with no air. Very nice kitchen for cooking meals. Comes with all you need. Including spices from others before you. But you just will not find a better location.

Truly in the heart of the city and a walk to all the town hot spots. As this was our first trip to the east coast we learned that real estate is a premium, so be prepared to pay for parking (anywhere), apt stairs are narrow and shower is standing room only. Those are simple facts, but nothing that deters us from highly recommending this property. Patty and Mark are wonderful hosts and we can't wait to return!

Booth Bay Harbor vacation

My husband, pup, and I got away for the first time since COVID and this was an amazing stay. Patty and Mark were super helpful and we appreciated them accommodating our pup. We had a lovely time hiking each morning at the local Preserves and spending our days deciding what fantastic restaurant to eat in. The entire town is less than a 5 minute walk from the apartment. We enjoyed a harbor tour, and day trip to Camden including driving up to Mount Battie. We also did an oyster tour in Daramascotta (sp?) river and really enjoyed the outdoor restaurant there as well. Thanks to Patty and Mark for hosting us!

The owner wasn’t happy that I didn’t know the door code which meant he had to open the door and give us the code. There is no designated parking for the unit, so we paid 20 a day for town parking. The unit was on the second floor with steep narrow steps to carry luggage up. If I’d known about the stairs and parking I never would’ve rented it. We were given the wrong WiFi information, but found the correct code on a card in the unit. It was beautifully decorated and in the middle of town so you could walk everywhere. We left a day early because we were tired of climbing the stairs.

Location, location, location

If you are looking for a place in the hub of Boothbay Harbor, you can't miss with this spot. Located right downtown, you can walk to everything. Hosts are shopkeepers and available to answer questions, etc. They supplied us with restaurant recommendations. Check in and check out were very easy. We thought it might be loud at night, but Boothbay quiets down once the shops close in the evening. Downside is parking. There is no dedicated spot, so we had to park on the street or pay for parking lot spot, but we made it work. Overall, it was comfortable, clean and well equipped with everything we needed.

Nice spot. Don't really want to ding it too bad, but some suggestions for bringing it up to what we'd expect from a 5* VRBO property. No wifi password in the agreement / messages, though there is very dated and inaccurate info on the property details page. We would expect coffee filters, hair dryer, and kleenex (more than 1 piece on a decorative box - that we didn't use). Overall - a nice but small property.

Wifi, is in a picture frame in the rental for ease and accessibility. We could have directed you to the coffee filters, (corner kitchen cabinet) hair dryer (above in closet) and additional tissue paper in hutch in hallway... we would love the opportunity to assist our guests when here but unfortunately never knew you were in need~

Charming and convenient

Our first time in Boothbay Harbor and we so appreciated Patty and Mark's accessibility and high touch during our stay. The apartment is charming beyond our expectations. Size is mentioned in reviews but it was immaterial to us and our dog (15 lbs) as the apartment is decorated so well, laid out very efficiently and equipped so well that we never felt it was smaller. Boothbay is a lively town with lots to do and if you want more tranquil surroundings they are within a couple miles. We enjoyed walking the Land Trust Preserves around the town and visiting the stunning Botanical Garden nearby. The Thistle Inn for your special dinner before going home. East Boothbay is worth a trip to visit the General Store where you can get a good sandwich when you have eaten too much lobster. We will return !
