Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with our stay. There were several cleanliness and maintenance issues that made the house uncomfortable. When we arrived, the floors were extremely dirty—to the point that our feet turned black just from walking around the house. We ended up having to wear shoes inside the entire time because the floors clearly had not been properly cleaned for a very long time. We jokingly started to call the house the Blackfoot lodge. There was also a very unpleasant smell when we first walked in, and we eventually discovered a completely rotten potato that had been left inside one of the cabinets, but even after throwing that out, the house still had a an unclean scent. The laundry room had an extremely strong, foul odor, so we had to keep the door closed throughout our stay. Downstairs also had a noticeable musty/mold-like smell, so if you are sensitive, the basement was off limits to you.Even though the house was marketed that it had A/C, there was no A/C upstairs, and it became extremely hot and uncomfortable. Even with the windows open all night, there was basically no airflow and it did not cool down. One of the upstairs bedrooms also had no blinds on the windows, which was not ideal for privacy or keeping the room dark. The Wi-Fi was another significant issue. It constantly went in and out throughout our stay. Because of that the TV in first floor did not work. I work from home, so having reliable internet was very important.
