We 3 girls had so much fun exploring this home. It brought back so many childhood memories. Will highly recomend this home.it is located in a cute little town, but close to several larger cities. Communication with our host was great.
My only regret is that we booked so much to do during our stay we didnt get to spend enough tome at the house. Its like its own museum, and absolutely adorable.
Wonderful stay. Wish the grass had been cut and the outside porch dusted/cleaned so you could sit out there. The house had a slight odor from being closed up but it seemed to dissipate after a while. We really loved the accommodations and would return again. Thank you for your hospitality!

The yard actually had just been cut 2 days prior to guests arrival, and porch blown off with blower but we are in peak pollen time here in NC and pollen coats everything in clouds during this season.
Such a great time we had!!! It was like stepping back in time right into my Grandma’s House!
Mandy was very responsive to any and all questions!
Pictures do not do this beautiful home justice!!!
I was taken back and amazed that this house is preserved tastefully and accurately. My husband and I stayed 9 days and enjoyed every moment. We loved the 50s and 60s decor. I devoured the 1940s "Life Magazines" and the old vinyl records, 8 tracks and cassettes. In spite of the age of the house, we were very comfortable. The host is the best VRBO host I've encountered. I highly recommend this place, especially if you like history.
We three long time friends took a weekend to reconnect. We had an event to attend at Zoo on Friday night so we made it a girls weekend. This vintage house brought back lots of memories. So many things from the past that we grew up with in our homes or grandparent homes. We enjoyed the rocking chair front porch in the mornings. The gazebo glider in the evenings. And a couple of us LOVED a bath in the beautiful clawfoot tub. Mandy was very forthcoming before she accepted our reservation. We had no surprises. We embraced the vintage home as a relaxing experience.
My family had to be in Ramseur, NC for a family gathering October 3-6, 2024. I checked the VRBO site and found the NC Nostalgic House in downtown Ramseur and booked the property. I could not have been happier! The hostess was a delight to deal with and the property is absolutely amazing! The house was built in 1892 and has been meticulously restored to its original grandeur. Each room is decorated to a theme and it offers a wonderful trip back in time! I highly recommend this property for a stay to visit the nearby zoo, use as an event destination or just sit and relax. You will not be disappointed!
Our stay was wonderful! The home is convenient to a variety of areas nearby and very easy to walk to downtown Ramseur. The host was very helpful and responsive. It was clean, impeccably decorated and even suggested interacting with the vast array of nostalgic antiques throughout the home. It was a lot of fun and brought back many memories. The house contains many fragrance devices. Parking is ample and convenient, there is a driveway. Temperature in the house is easy to understand and adjust. The water temperature was perfect and we had no issues. We were quite busy during our visit but wish we could have spent more time actually looking at all the interesting items throughout. There is also a large yard with a gazebo and a front and back porch which are both welcoming and comfortable. Also when we arrived all the unique, antique lamps were already on and it was like walking into an illuminated jewel box! We enjoyed our stay!
Two friends and I stayed for three nights. We had a great time. The house is an amazing museum of times gone by. It is not however a very good place to relax. The period furniture is great to look at, but not very comfortable to kick back on. We had hoped to make breakfasts each day, but there is not a modern stove/oven. The house is full of neat stuff, but does not accommodate well for day to day living. The house is also beside a very busy road and car noise is very loud. Super cool to tour, but not quite the cozy stay we had hoped for.
This will be my 2nd stay here, I just love this home the decorations are absolutely beautiful especially during Christmas time! It feels so warm and welcoming when first walking in extremely comfortable and very clean. I usually travel from Florida to come see my family for Christmas and I definitely won't ever be staying anywhere other than here I feel extremely comfortable it's in a nice part of town close to a lot of a stores also.
