What a special place. The views of Rainbow Lake from the screen porch are stunning, and the location is perfect for the kinds of outdoor activities we enjoy in the Adirondacks. We hiked, we paddled, we rock-climbed, we swam in lakes and waterfalls, and each night we returned to this cozy, comfortable, and well-cared-for cabin. The hosts were clear and kind in their communication. Thank you for a wonderful week that recharged us all. Hoping to be lucky enough to return!

Camp Oxbow is ideally located, a reasonable distance to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid but on the less trafficked and just as scenic Rainbow Lake. The cabin has carefully preserved much of the original log cabin but offers comfortable accommodations and modern conveniences. With 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths it can work for various numbers of guests. There are stairs to the cabin as well as from the cabin to the lake but they are illuminated. We found the week after Labor Day week to be an excellent choice, pleasant temperatures and quiet. We literally had the lake to ourselves for kayaking.
