Lovely space, quiet neighborhood despite the railroad being close; you would hardly notice it. Very clean, easy transportation to the city's main attractions. Our host was very responsive and helpful.
It was a great spot to be, we loved it! The hosts were super responsive and helped resolve all our questions. Would absolutely stay there again if needed :)
House was clean and very well stocked making it very comfortable. The elevated train was closer than I thought but ear plugs were provided. The neighborhood was very fun.
Justin was so accommodating. He let us in early as our flight was early. The place was clean , the beds and pillows soooo comfy. The location was perfect for why we were in chicago. Loved our time there
Justin was super communicative and a quick responder. The vrbo was nice and clean as well. The place was easy to find and at a location that was super convenient. I would absolutely stay here again.
Everything about the apartment was wonderful… We greatly appreciated the coffee supplies! Not being natives of Chicago, we were not used to the sound from the train… But we were fairly warned!
The place was neatly clean. Train station is within walking distance. Quiet neighborhood. Justin is a quick responder. Overall nice place, I would stay again.
Super clean and just as cozy as advertised! While the El tracks are VERY close, mostly did not find it to be disruptive after we adjusted a little bit. Things were well-appointed, kitchen well organized and stocked with basics, and beds were comfy. Location-wise, it is close to breweries and shopping, convenient access to the Brown Line, and a great little neighborhood. Justin was a terrific host, in touch with us frequently, and gave great recommendations. I would stay here again for sure!
Cozy train is an excellent name for this listing, however, “Train” should certainly be emphasized. Upon arrival it was nightfall and raining with a train immediately going by, I/we must say that we were a bit skeptical of our choice. With that said, the interior is well maintained, clean and pleasant. The host provided many amenities for comfort including earplugs, although consideration to purchase a better quality for your stay is recommended. We were away quite a bit and although it appeared interesting, we did not have the opportunity to explore well enough to comment on the area.Parking on the street is a bit congested and we were appreciative to have driveway accessibility. However, we had one vehicle and had there been multiple vehicles it may have been a tight fit.Aside from that, I would certainly recommend this property. We had a great trip and Justin is amazing to work with.
The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed for cooking a meal. We didn't though, with all the amazing food choices we had around us, even within walking distance. The area was amazing and everything was so easy! More than enough parking! The beds were super comfy and the whole apartment was cozy and welcoming! The host was super sweet and communicative throughout. There are a ton of things to do and so much fun to be had!! WE LOVED IT!! Can't wait to come back to my sweet home Chicago!! I highly recommend this place. It went beyond my expectations! Just wonderful!
The house was as advertised. The house is at the end of the street next to the train tracks. Brewery is right next door. A few minute walk to the brown line. Justin was an amazing host. He was very quick in responding to any of our questions about Chicago. He was very helpful! The two bathrooms were very nice. We would definitely stay here again!
Let’s address the elephant in the room. The Brown Line roars by every 20 minutes and literally shakes the house and drowns out conversation/broadcasts for a few seconds. That said, we loved it! The hosts are gracious and helpful. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied for the cooking needs of up to 6 people. We had a true vacation. We could walk to 4 coffee shops, find great food, and enjoy the neighborhood. Would definitely stay again. I do know people who would be upset about the Line, so keep that in consideration. To us, it was joyful noise!
It was spectacular! The owners are so responsive and accommodating. Everything you could need is already in the house. We lived in Chicago for over 10 years but all closer to Lincoln Park. This is our new favorite part of the city...quiet, close to the El, cute neighborhood breweries and dining options all within walking distance. Highly recommend.
We had a great stay at Justin & Samantha's property!
The home is nicely updated with plenty of amenities. The large kitchen had plenty of utensils and appliances to help our stay go smoothly. Towels, hairdryers, soaps, etc. in the 2 updated bathrooms were also appreciated.
Each bedroom had a queen sized bed, plenty of blankets & pillows, and a personal sized TV. The location is excellent with several neighborhood bars nearby and only a few minutes drive from Wrigleyville. The on-site parking for multiple cars was a huge bonus.
I would definitely stay here again in the future and appreciate the owners for their hospitality!
We loved this property and the location. It was a 5 minute walk to the L in a quiet, charming neighborhood. The property is larger than expected as the bedrooms are in the back. While we were concerned with the trains being so close, the noise never bothered us and earplugs were in every bedroom if needed.
The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this neighborhood rental which is next to a brewery (which is always a plus)! 😁
The house was great! 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, perfect for 5 adults. The kitchen was huge and well stocked. Plenty of space to hang out in the mornings and evenings. Everything was clean with extra amenities like shampoo/conditioner and shower poofs and W/D! Closeness to CTA was a plus as we were on it multiple times/day. It was a quick 10-minute ride to Wrigley but quite a bit longer to downtown Chicago. Having 2 breweries close by was a plus. The noise from the El was livable but I did wear earplugs each night in the bedroom closest to the rails. The other 2 bedrooms had much less noise. It was an welcome addition to our authentic Chicago experience. The neighborhood was perfectly safe and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!
We traveled to Chicago with our 18-year-old daughter and her friend to attend a concert at Aragon Ballroom. The hosts, Justin and Samantha, are very kind and responsive. They have also put a lot of attention to detail into this property. The home is well laid out for a family with two teens who can each have their own bedrooms with TVs. The beds are super comfy. The linens are plush. The kitchen and common spaces are perfect for hanging out together. The little office space and sitting area are great for sipping coffee and people watching. The home is in a nice neighborhood with a brew pub at the end of the block. The hosts state in the listing that the property is next to the raised train that passes by frequently, and they provide ear plugs in each bedroom. So yes, the train does pass by a lot and it is close to the home. This really didn't bother us, but if you're sensitive to that, just be aware prior to booking here. We only stayed two nights, but we really enjoyed our time and would love to return and do some move exploring.
Very nice property… the space was clean and Justin was so quick to respond to any questions we had! The train was certainly noisy, but the provided ear plugs and sound machines helped!
