About this property

Our Haven is exactly that. You'll love the attention to detail in this studio apartment. It's perfect for a travel nurse, work assignment or a getaway by yourself or with a loved one.

We use only non toxic cleaning supplies and detergents on our towels and bedding as well as Essential oil and plant extract based fragrances.

The space:
The studio is in our newly remodeled basement. You'll have a kitchen complete with a toaster oven/microwave combo, full bathroom, queen bed, patio area, parking and a firepit area. The sofa has a pullout sofa and we have a 4" pillowtop to add to it, it is separated from the bedroom area by a semi sheer curtain. The laundry area is shared between us and our guests with separate entrances. We try to have most of our laundry done on checkin/checkout days but occasionally use it while guests are here as needed.

Guest access
You’re more than welcome to all guest spaces which include a small fire pit area to roast marshmallows or sit by the fire, on the deck by the creek or your own patio. The patio is equipped with drapes to add some privacy.

Abbeville is a quiet town in the beginning of the week but on weekends it's a flurry of activity. Town center is 1.3 miles from The Haven. We have walked to town multiple times which is fun if you're up for it! Main St has side walks which makes the walk easy and is less than half a mile from The Haven. Make sure to stop at Main St Coffee Co for a quick bite or drink! There's also a lot of other great eateries and stops to make. We love walking the square every so often to grab gifts, visit the plant shop, bakery and hunt for vintage treasures.

My husband Jimmy and I were born and raised in PA. We moved to South Carolina to be a part of a Prison Ministry for a year and stayed stuck. We absolutely love the south and Abbeville is the perfect, small southern feel for us.
We wanted to host from the moment we stepped into our first VRBO/AirBnB stay. When we originally bought our house we didn't intend to put a rental in it but; somehow, it evolved and with lots of dreaming, planning and sweat equity; The Haven was brought to life. We absolutely love hosting and adding special touches and details to it.

Why they chose this property

The Haven is on a dead end street with little traffic. We love that it is a quiet neighborhood that is safe for us and our young daughters. We walk our street a lot and have neighbors that are friendly and kind.

What makes this property unique

Our property has a lot of little touches we think you'll enjoy. You'll have a flagstone patio right outside the door and across our quiet street you'll find a firepit with a shed full of yard games and dry firewood. just off the firepit area, there is a few steps leading to a tiny creek. It's my absolute favorite place in the summer or winter. Our oldest daughter requests walks to the creek often.
The Haven has a laundry room! I love doing all the laundry before heading home from vacations or trips so it was important to me to be able to add that amentity to guests. It is a shared laundry but we always catch up our laundry before guests arrive when we can and keep our use of the laundry to a minimum while hosting.
We are close to lots of towns like Greenwood, Abbeville Greenville, McCormick to name a few. Area hospitals like Abbeville or Self in Greenwood are not very far. You'll be a 30 minute walk from town or 3 minutes by car. We have Ingles and dollar stores 1-2 minutes away as well as local eateries.
We've hosted many guests from honeymooners, anniversary trips, work trips, travel nurses, photoshoots and more here at The Haven and are honored to host each and every one and make their stay a unique and special one.
