About this property
Pictures do not do it justice. A breathtaking creekfront home on a hill overlooking Oak Creek, with room for 9, a secret bookshelf door, hot tub, and fire pit. Peaceful Cornville wine country, 25 min to Sedona.
Families book Tu'nlii when the photos catch their eye and the stay wins them over: creekfront views, room to spread out, and evenings that never quite leave the property.
Four bedrooms sleep nine on 2.6 acres along Oak Creek. Strong AC, a stocked kitchen, a secret bookshelf door kids love, and outdoor space for creek walks, sunsets, and fire pit nights.
"The pictures don't do this place justice. It is breathtaking! Book this place you will not regret it!" - Jacquelyn, May 2026
David and Nadine are available by text before and during your stay. Ask about kid-friendly creek spots, shaded hikes, winery patios, or anything else you need.
They are not on site, but many guests are return visitors who mention feeling at home and planning their next trip before they leave.
"This is our second time staying and the house felt just like home. I can't wait to come back!" - Richelle, March 2026
Cornville is a quieter alternative to staying in Sedona, with easy access to wine country and outdoor trips.
In summer you get shaded creek canyons nearby, vineyard patios, and temperatures well below Phoenix. Page Springs Cellars is about 10 minutes away. More than 20 tasting rooms sit within a 15-minute drive.
Guests like being peaceful and away from the tourist areas while still close to Sedona, Cottonwood, and Camp Verde for day trips.
Nearby summer outings include West Fork Trail, Slide Rock, Cathedral Rock at dawn, Bell Rock, Old Town Cottonwood, and Jerome. Many families plan Sedona trips, then spend more time on the property than they expected.
You have full access to Tu'nlii House and the creekfront grounds.
A private trail leads to Oak Creek. In summer, guests wade in, sit in the shade along the bank, or listen to the water from the deck and fire pit.
The bookshelf door opens to the lower entertainment level. Outdoor areas include the cedar hot tub, fire pit, covered deck, and hammocks.
The lower property is not fenced so wildlife can move through. Please stay within the marked property boundaries.
The house sits on a hill overlooking the meadow, mountains, and creek. Guests often say they planned outings but ended up staying in to play games, watch sunsets, and gather around the fire pit.
Inside: open living with big windows, four bedrooms including a bunk room for kids, and a secret bookshelf door to the lower level for movies and games on hot afternoons.
Outside: cedar hot tub, fire pit, covered deck, hammocks, picnic spots, and a trail to Oak Creek. Dogs and kids love roaming the grounds and splashing in the water.
"We sat by the creek, hung out by the firepit, and used the great soaking tub." - Alex, February 2026
Distances from Tu'nlii House: - Page Springs Cellars: 10 min - Verde Valley wineries: within 15 min - Old Town Cottonwood: 15 min - Sedona: 25 min - Slide Rock State Park: 40 min - Jerome: 25 min - Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport: 2 hours
Parking is on site. Level 2 Tesla/EV charging is included.
A simple summer rhythm that works well: hike early, creek time midday, winery stop late afternoon, hot tub after dark.
Tu'nlii House and Pitchner Place share the same property, but each unit has its own entrance and outdoor areas.
Summer evenings often cool into the 60s, which makes the hot tub and fire pit easy to enjoy after sunset.
Tu'nlii House is sustainability-certified through Sustonica (#94497144). The home uses solar water heating, EV charging, and eco-friendly products. Monthly contributions go to Friends of the Verde River.
Tu'nlii means river in Apache. The house was built around Oak Creek and the sound of running water.

Very clean, beautiful upgrades. Perfect for our long weekend girls trip! We did not use the hot tub, but the views were stunning and the property allowed us all to have plenty of space and privacy, as well as group space to be together and visit. The neighborhood was quiet and it was perfectly located for our days trips to Sedona and visit to a local winery. Thank you for making our stay in AZ memorable.
What a wonderful and fun place for the whole family! The kids loved the secret entrance to the basement. The surrounding nature was beautiful and the hosts very helpful. Five stars!
The house was wonderful. The location fabulous. So quiet, country setting, close to the Oak Creek and easy access. Such amazing accomodations. We all absolutely loved it!
The property was beautiful and well equipped. Plenty of room, nice size bedrooms and the bathrooms were spa quality. The creek was steps away from the backyard and refreshing. We were able to enjoy the firepit one night when the temps cooled down a bit. The owners were very accommodating and quickly responded our inquiries. We will be returning and highly recommend this property.
This is a fabulous house if you are in the Cornville/Cottonwood area. Lots of room to sit inside & outside with family. Modern, very clean, wonderful beds! We highly recommend this home!

Great place, loved the fire pit and hot tub. Fire pit is out of gas, there was a little water at the base of the toilet in the main bathroom in Sunday morning. A box of Kleenex would have been good 😊
Overall wonderful stay!!!

Overall wonderful stay!!!
I wish we could have stayed more than 2 nights. The neighborhood and town are quiet and peaceful. The house itself was so clean, modern and spacious. All of the conveniences were thought of, including multiple outlets on the nightstands, robes, dish and dishwasher soap, Keurig cups and spices. We cooked a meal the first night and had everything we needed. The showers were excellent, spacious with shampoo, conditioner and body wash in pumps available. The beds were comfortable. The only thing lacking was sugar, but that is not available in many VRBO rentals. We loved most of all the sunset views from the large back deck and stargazing from there or the hot tub at night. We also enjoyed the fire pit. It was easy communicating with the owner for any questions I had. You head to the creek by walking downhill on a path and then crossing a bit of the yard. There is a relaxing hammock and picnic table and bench. There are some ants by the creek but nowhere near the house. It is down a little trail to the water, which is cool and maybe shin deep with round river rocks at the bottom. We could hear the goats next door, frogs and donkey from the yard, but it was a relaxing sound in the distance, not so loud it was disturbing to sleep. Even though it is in more of a rural area, grocery stores in Cottonwood and the delicious restaurants of adorable downtown Cottonwood were only about 15 minutes away. Though it was still hot during the day, evening temp was perfect. Would stay here again!
