This was our second time staying at this house and it was just as good as the first time! Very clean, has all the necessities needed from the kitchen, to the living room, to the bathroom, to the bedrooms. So unbelievably peaceful. We will definitely be coming back! And Jake is very quick to respond!
Property was beautiful setting. Inside nicely decorated and cozy. We had everything we needed!
Would love to stay here again !
Bed was comfortable!
Thank you for a relaxing weekend!
Our first time using VRBO and wow, very impressed! An absolute gum of a place to stay, we loved it. Plenty of room for everyone, a kitchen with all the appliances you could possibly need, plenty of dishes, great front and back porches...I could go on and on. One thing to note is that it is well water at this place; for us, we bought drinking water, as we are not used to the taste of well water (we know it's safe/filtered, though :)) We would return in a heartbeat, highly recommend!!!
Great host. It seems he has fixed every issue listed in previous reviews. New pans, everything we needed for preparing meals. Needed gas for grill and he promptly brought new bottle. Nicely decorated and clean. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the sun on comfy seats. Two outdoor tables with chairs. Would recommend to others. While located in the woods, not on water the peaceful setting made for an enjoyable stay.
We were so happy with our stay. The cabin was secluded in a wooded setting, clean, and had everything you could need during your stay. It was very nice to have a washer and dryer available. The only downside was that there were no screens in the windows.. we would have liked to have some fresh air.but the mosquitos were bad so we didn’t want to let them in. Overall we had such a great stay and we would definitely be back! Thank you!
Northern Michigan is always peaceful and relaxing. This home met our needs as central point in going to Drummond Island for the day. The book of information was helpful - having Yooperman's listed was great. Although this was March and still winter up north, we were able to find open establishments due to the book.
Owners were very responsive to every question/need. Lots of room and beautiful setting.
Our huge family of nine had the best time at this rental! The pictures truly don’t do the house justice—it was even more spacious and beautiful in person. The house had everything we could possibly need, from kitchen tools to cozy blankets and extra toiletries. With terrible weather during our stay, we were worried the kids would get restless, but that was never an issue. The house was packed with toys, board games, and activities to keep them entertained for hours. We spent our days playing games, watching movies, and enjoying quality family time. The internet was almost nonexistent, but honestly, that was a blessing in disguise—it gave us the perfect opportunity to unplug and enjoy each other’s company. Our trip took an unexpected turn when we had car trouble, and the nearest repair shop was over an hour away and had to order parts. Jake was incredibly kind and understanding, allowing us to extend our stay until our vehicle was fixed. His generosity made a stressful situation much easier to handle. If you're looking for a comfortable, well-stocked home with plenty to do—rain, snow or shine—this is the place to stay. We can’t recommend it enough and would absolutely come back!
My husband and I and two friends came up from downstate and brought our quads with us. The location of the house was perfect, with it being right on a trail. It’s very secluded, and very peaceful, not to mention the cleanliness and very comfortable feeling being in the house. The beds were super comfortable, the trail maps in the house were very helpful, and Jake was always quick to answer any of our questions! Super affordable and will definitely recommend to our friends and will be sure to be coming back!! 10/10 for sure!!
We had a nice stay. Nice and clean. Heat was on 50 when we got there on a cold weekend. It took until the next day to warm up and furnace is very loud. Appreciated the flannel sheets. Would have liked a few more kitchen supplies. Could not find a cutting board or baking sheet. Would have liked a set of measuring spoons, measuring cups, and a second fry pan. Happy to be able to bring our dog. She had a nice weekend as well. There is no WiFi so no streaming for the weekend. There are movies and antenna tv. We took a nice drive up to sault st Marie. Property is in a nice quiet neighborhood with no close neighbors.
My husband & I booked a 3 night stay. The house was very clean & organized. Plenty of movies for the end of day wind down. There was a binder with so much info for local dining & adventures (that was so helpful). Coming from south east Michigan, it was so nice to be away from the congestion of the city. The house was very easy to find & exactly as described. The host, Jake, was quick to answer any questions we had. It was a quick trip to DeTour town for the Drummond island ferry. There isn't all the tourist fan fair this time of year & it was exactly what we needed. Did I mention the stars? We had a clear night for viewing & it was breath taking. There is no light pollution, it was amazing. Coming from down state, we don't get to see skies like that. This was a great place to stay, we hope to return.
