The House that represents the Spirit of Jocassee. Nestled amidst the tranquil beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, our home offers a haven that sleeps 10 and is directly on the waterfront of Jocassee with 600 feet of lakefront! The house includes a dock with an extended ramp, a boat slip if you decide to rent a boat with tie offs. A tram can bring you down to the floating dock, as well as bring you back up to the house, or you can walk down the stone steps (these are uneven please walk with caution). There are single and double seated kayaks, a canoe, life jackets, and water rafts/toys for your enjoyment! This 3,500 square foot house was built facing the East in 1995 by the owner and his two sons. You get to wake up to a beautiful sunrise and watch the light of the setting sun go away on the mountains! You get incredible views from the front deck! The house was made using 175 year old hand hewn timbers - a mixture of oak, cherry, and chestnut along with southern heart pine flooring. The house has a personal touch to it, with unique trinkets placed in fun places around the house. Whether you are embarking on a scenic hike to explore hidden waterfalls, casting your line for a day of fishing bliss, skiing, tubing, or simply unwinding on a leisurely boat ride, Lake Jocassee enchants visitors with its timeless charm and undeniable allure, leaving a lasting impression on all who have the pleasure of experiencing its wonders.

Our stay at the Jocassee House was wonderful. Property is rustic but very clean. The property manager was extremely helpful in giving us the lay of the land. The dock house is a great place to hang out with family.
We had a wonderful stay at the Jocassee Lake House! The timber frame home is beautiful, spacious, and perfectly situated right on the lake. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The host was very communicative and made everything easy from start to finish. Highly recommend for a peaceful and scenic getaway!
Beautiful lake and an incredible house. The views were spectacular. The property manager was delightful and available with quick responses. We loved the house, architectural details, and the rustic quality with all the modern conveniences including great WiFi for those who need to work a few days while on vacation.

Thank you for the review and we are so glad you enjoyed your time at The Jocassee House.
Nice house with good views of the lake. Rustic in some ways but has a bit of mountain charm. Host was very communicative with all our needs. Pretty remote from most stores and shops. Use of paddle boards and kayaks was great as well. All in all it was a great experience.
Our entire family enjoyed being at this magnificent lake home. The location is very remote but the amenities are so worth the drive! The house is rustic, comfortable and incredibly unique. Breanne is the most attentive property manager I’ve ever worked with, very dedicated to helping us with everything. The entire family is looking forward to returning next year.

Thank you Tina for your review! We are sorry that a small spider web in the home prevented you from giving us a 10 but we do not use pesticides that are damaging to people's health inside of the home. We look forward to your family staying again!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lake Jocassee House. The house is exactly as advertised - a comfortable, well-crafted, and fun place to anchor your lake experience. If anything, the photos don't capture the warmth of the home which can be felt throughout. We enjoyed discovering the unique hidden gems of decorations and personal items all over the home. The highlights for us were the deck (fantastic views that changed throughout the day) and the dock, which was perfect to tie up our rental boat and just a great hangout spot to swim and relax. Breanne and her husband were very helpful with local knowledge and made checking in easy and accommodated our schedule. We hope to stay again next year.

Your family got to make great memories here. Looking forward to your stay next year!
We have been coming to Lake Jocassee for many years so we knew we would love the location. This home is so personal and so unique. You can tell the homeowners spent so much time and love in making it a home. The personal touches were special and our family loved looking at all of the precious items placed strategically around the property. Breanne and her husband were fantastic communicators and responded immediately with any questions we had. They met us at the house upon arrival to give us a tour and make sure we understood everything. One thing I love when renting is when a house is well-stocked. This home had soap, shampoo, and conditioner in all bathrooms and had plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, etc… for the week. It’s little thing, but I very much appreciated it. I would definitely recommend this home to others.
