Why they chose this property
We are located on Cobbosseecontee Stream in Gardiner, Maine. The stream is a popular spot for fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing, with some sections having Class II rapids. It has a rich history rooted in Native American usage, particularly by the Abenaki tribes. The name itself, meaning "Land where the sturgeon are taken," reflects the stream's importance as a fishing ground. The stream was a vital part of an Abenaki trail connecting Gardiner on the Kennebec River to Moosehead Lake.
