About this property

Charming Southern Cottage, Sleeps 6, Dog Friendly!

Recently renovated stylish 3-bedroom house to have fun with the whole family. Bring the furry friends to enjoy a large fenced in backyard, there is plenty of space to play corn hole, throw frisbees, start a bonfire or have a breakfast or dinner in the fresh air.
This charming home has 3 full bedrooms with closets and 2 full bathrooms. There is plenty of common space including a living room, a den with various sitting options, a kitchen with dining table seating 6 and a large backyard with an outdoor table.

We adore animals and have 2 dogs we travel with pretty much everywhere we go - so we welcome pups to stay as well as we welcome people.
You will find treats, bowls, poop bags and extra towels designated for dogs only in our little “Puppy Corner” by the side entrance, please feel free to use what you’d like.

The property is in an urban, diverse neighborhood. I've always felt safe here, but if you are sensitive to occasional noise or unaccustomed to city living, this may not be the right place for you.

It’s an older home with a couple of quirks:
1. Our driveway fits 4 vehicles total but has a bit of a steep curb so please use caution and slower speeds when driving up and down to not damage your vehicle.
2. All bedrooms have old school overhead lighting wiring, so regular light switches are not operational. Please use ceiling fan pull down strings to turn the lights or the fans on and off - all are labeled.
3. Our fireplace is beautiful yet needs a bit of work and has to be tested by us or a professional prior to constant use. We apologize deeply but please do NOT use!
4. We are constantly working on improving this house as it’s our home too. There are some work tools we keep in one of the kitchen cabinets and the shelves near the laundry room, please excuse us for leaving them there. We visit a lot and utilize them often.

We had an excellent experience at this property. The home was extremely clean, well-kept, and clearly cared for. Our host was fantastic—very responsive, friendly, and thoughtful. They even provided great concessions and a snack bar stocked with treats, which was such a nice touch after a long day of traveling.The space itself was incredibly spacious and functional, giving us plenty of room to relax and feel comfortable. The location in North Charleston was perfect—central, convenient, and close to everything we needed.Highly recommend staying here!

Great property

This was our first stay at a VRBO and it was great! We were there for a family vacation and the location of the house was perfect for easy on/off from the hwy to get to Charleston. Owner was very responsive to questions (which we had some as it was our first time). House was very clean and beautiful.

Nicely renovated home with everything you need

Our family of 4 enjoyed this home for a trip to Charleston. The location was close enough to everything. The home is tremendously clean, and the beds are comfortable. Host communication was quick and helpful. It is nice to have such a positive experience on vacation and this property did not disappoint.

Cozy, Comfy, Clean & Family Friendly

We were visiting our son who’s in the Navy and station in Charleston. This home was a perfect place for us to get together and spend some much needed family time together. It was in a great location too! We loved how clean it was, the vintage vibe, the family board games (we left a new one for the next guests to enjoy), and we loved how pet friendly it was! Excellent house! Everything was very comfortable, clean, well-stocked with all essentials, and excellent communication from the owner. Check in was easy with a code provided in advance for self check in. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. There are supplies available if you are bringing a doggie friend. The host was great. The house was nice. The yard not so much. Hard to walk with all the nuts and holes in fence. As it was, we discovered before the dogs didThere were 3 scent things in house when we got there. My daughter has high allergies. Immediately we had to take them out. But in host defence, I forgot to say something to her before going. It was close to many things. We had a great time. Would go back.

Sweet Cottage!

What a cute house! We visited for my mom's 60th birthday and had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend staying here. This house is about 15 minutes from Charleston, in a nice neighborhood. Loved it!!

Quiet home near historic downtown Charleston

We loved the ease of leaving this home and returning safely - even after dark. The spacious rooms were well equipped and the beds were confortable. Due to the location we didn’t need to cook any meals, but it would have been possible in the best kitchen.

Everything about this property was as described. The home was very clean and very well appointed and thoughtful. The neighborhood was quiet. The host was a dream to work with and communication clear. All new appliances including a large washer and dryer. It’s very clear that the hosts have put a time and love into preparing this house.

Stylish Cottage in Charleston

Book this stay!! This was a wonderful home for our mother-daughter weekend trip to Charleston! With 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and two living areas, the cottage very comfortably fit our party of 6. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and sitting out in the sun. We especially loved all of the beautiful decor and thoughtful touches throughout. The host was very responsive and very considerate as well. Staying in North Charleston was much more affordable, and every main attraction we visited was within a 30 minute drive (downtown, magnolia gardens, and Sullivans island). I would happily return! As an FYI, the home is in the flight path of either the airport or the Air Force base, so you may hear planes. We actually liked this, but good to have a heads up if anyone is a light sleeper.

The place was very nice, very quaint, cottage. The place was stocked nicely with towels, snacks, and all amenities. There was, however, an old smell in the house; not overbearing, but noticable, we used some fragrance and airfresheners, np. Also, the yard had remnants from dogs, poop. Otherwise, very nice and recommended.Owner was very accomodating.

Some of our friends live in the neighborhood and my sister is just around the corner.
The area is still affordable and offers easy access to most areas of Charleston via freeways. We like that it is central to everything we ever need to access when visiting.

What makes this property unique

Our home sleeps 6 making it a comfortable accommodation for various group sizes. We have a large fenced in yard for furry friends and there is plenty of parking.
