Enjoy the beautiful views overlooking the South River valley while relaxing in rustic elegance. This newly built and spacious home has plenty of privacy and multiple vantage points of the valley below from the screened-in porch, open deck, and covered deck with hot tub.  Enjoy making Smore's around the fire pit with rustic seating and also the use of a charcoal grill in the large, private yard. Inside are comfortable reclining sofa chairs in front of extra large windows.  Mountain Top Vista features one full bathroom with a tub/shower on the ground level and a powder room on the upstairs level complete with luxury towels.  This lovely cabin also features two streaming TV's for your viewing pleasure (Youtube TV, Disney and Hulu provided) along with internet and even a CD player! Enjoy a cozy fire in the great room after a meal cooked in our fully-equipped kitchen. In chilly weather the hot tub and fire pit are especially pleasant. Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah National Park are just minutes away.

Peaceful getaway

The home is stunning and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the epic view and the hot tub and left feeling so refreshed and relaxed. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway.

Don’t cheat yourself, treat yourself!

This place was top notch! From space, to cleanliness, to the hot tub, to the fireplace…..you can’t beat this place. I dare you to find something wrong with this place. Hope to come back.

Remote, clean, spacious, and comfortable

Clean, open space, comfortable, quiet, nice porches, and well stocked. Great place to stay when visiting Shenandoah area. We would have appreciated if the check-in instructions mentioned that the house is located off of a one lane gravel road. Our drive took much longer than expected and we showed up after dark. For those renting this, I'd suggest showing up for checkin before sunset.

A relaxing weekend

My family of 4 had a relaxing weekend at Mountain Top Vista. The house was stocked with everything we needed for our long weekend. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The only thing we’d suggest is adding plastic kid cups in the kitchen. We were especially grateful for the packets of coffee creamer and sugar after we unknowingly purchased spoiled cream from a nearby grocery store. The views from all windows were spectacular, especially from the comfortable reclining chairs. In the evening we enjoyed campfires and the hot tub. We have been staying at various Lydia Mountain properties over the years and have had great experiences each time.
