Beautiful home in the woods without a neighbor nearby. Although the road was somewhat steep as mentioned by others, it was completely covered in gravel and well maintained. Following the provided detailed directions and first trip up to the home during the daylight was helpful. The bonus is the area farther up the mountain providing a spectacular view.

We enjoyed our time here, 37ish minutes to an entrance to Shenandoah national park! Also went to downtown Charlottesville for a pottery class and dinner afterwards.

Loved this little cabin. Isolated clearing a mile off the road with a wonderful view of the mountains. Idyllic place very close to Charlottesville. Perfect place for my dog to roam without worry of cars or other concerns. The owner was very kind to check on me every few days also!

The cabin was very cozy. The upstairs bedroom was beautiful. The views and the fireplace in the bedroom were amazing. The views from the back deck/porch were beautiful as well. Great location for our exploration of Skyline Drive.

The host was welcoming, but not intrusive. Had a wonderful winter getaway. The cabin was warm and cozy throughout the stay despite cold temperatures and windy nights. Loved the wood-burning fireplace and the wood was well stocked onsite. Wifi was reliable. Overall, a perfect stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient weekend getaway.

Beautiful cabin in woods with view of mtns! Off the beaten path, but still close to anything needed. Cabin is restored from an older cabin, but has all modern conveniences. Highly recommend if looking to stay in a restored older cabin while visiting Charlottesville area.
