Fabulous Aspen House on grounds of the Aspen Institute & Aspen Meadows Resort

Situated on the grounds of the Aspen Meadows Resort and the Aspen Institute, this house is ideal in both summer and winter for families and friends to connect and relax. The grounds of the Aspen Meadows are spectacular, with stunning views of the mountains, well maintained walking paths, sledding hills and easy access to great cross-country skiing and hiking trails. The house is steps away from the Rio Grande trail. The Aspen Meadows is the location of the world-famous Aspen Music festival which runs every summer. Our house is just a 5 minute walk from the music tent. The center of town (and the base of the Ajax Gondola) is a 15 minute walk. The Aspen Meadows offers free shuttle service into town and returning from town every 30 minutes. Snowmass, Buttermilk and Highlands ski resorts are also all within a 10 minute drive.

The house is one of eleven exclusive houses on the property. A spacious living area with large comfortable couches and chairs invites guests to relax in front of the fire or gaze at the view from the floor to ceiling windows. The house features a separate dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen with Wolf & Sub-Zero appliances, and a patio/deck for lounging in the nice weather.

The top floor offers a master suite, with master bathroom, a king-sized bed and sitting area. The 'mezzanine' level features an additional guest room complete with a queen-sized bed and guest bathroom. In addition to the living space, the ground level features two bedrooms each with two twin beds and one additional full bathroom.

The spacious patio looks over the Roaring Fork River and Castle Creek with undisturbed views of protected natural space. The patio includes a dining table, umbrella and lounge chairs as well as a gas-powered Weber Grill.

The house is 50 yards from a health club, pool and hot tub owned by the Aspen Meadows resort. This health club can be accessed for an additional daily fee.

The carport fits 2 standard cars in a covered but not enclosed space.

We loved our stay here! The setting is spectacular, and the home is spacious and well-appointed, with large indoor and outdoor dining and living spaces. The views from the deck and home made us feel like we were immersed in nature and wildlife, and spectacular hiking trails and fishing were available 50 yards from the house. A superb restaurant and the bucolic Aspen Meadows (in my view, the most beautiful spot in Aspen) were mere steps away. Wi-Fi service was strong enough to allow multiple guests to work simultaneously. Finally, Heather, our host, was exceptionally gracious and accommodated our every need!

Perfect place for family in serene setting

Having stayed at Aspen Meadows Resort in the past, we knew the area and having this whole house on the beautiful grounds there was an amazing place to bring the family. House was sell equipped and very comfortable and stylish.

Such a great dog friendly property

Hikes, walking into town, using the balcony was great. A repair of the screens would be terrific for more open doors. Fall is terrific season to come to your property. Thank you!!

Had a great stay at the property. Great location, especially if you have non-skiers. Snow was not good first couple days but we walked the trails and to town. Resort shuttles to Aspen gondola and airport were convenient. It’s about a two minute walk to the resort reception center. We did not use other club amenities.House has plenty of space for our party of 8. Kitchen has high end appliances and is well stocked. However, guests need to read the house instructions. Use of microwave might trip the circuit and we had to reset the breaker in the basement a few times. So we turned off the lights in the kitchen before using the microwave and that seemed to stop the tripping.Huge master bedroom with lots of closet space. That room gets cold, we had to use space heaters. House gets plenty of light with huge floor to ceiling windows that span the entire wall, and the view was amazing. The house thermostat is by the stairs and set for 62 at night. We are from Houston so that’s cold for us. Could’ve ask the host to reprogram but we were just too lazy. Besides, we loved the true wood burning fireplace and there were lots of wood out by carport which was big enough for two mid size SUVs. Good water pressure and hot water in the showers. Big TV in living room with nice surround sound. Lots of books and games. Sofas were kind of sagging though. Plenty of throws and pillows to get cozy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place.
