Thank you both for making the long travel from the "New World" to the "Old World" . We are pleased you enjoyed your stay, including up to the top floor roof terrace for your daily evening refreshments. As mentioned in the listing, the flat is situated on the first floor (meaning one floor above the ground level) and there are 10 steps to reach it from the front door. As you noticed, there is both a solid handrail on the left and a fisherman's rope to the right. Plus, as we did for your departure, we are always ready to bring our guests' luggage up and down the stairs and onward to the parking lot. Thank you for keeping the roof terrace plants nicely hydrated!

It is true that most of our guests from North America are not used to the stairways in the "old world", especially those of the 350+ years' architecture & character of the houses in European old towns.
