COME STAY at our waterfront property and upscale cabin, including perhaps the best shore fishing for salmon and trout on the famous Kenai River of Alaska. Our property has over 350 ft of private shoreline for your use with fire pit, picnic table, and fish cleaning station next to the river.
Whether you're looking for some serious outdoor activities, like fishing and hiking, or just a place to kick back and enjoy magnificent scenery and wildlife, our Kenai River rental cabin is the perfect base camp for your Alaskan vacation. When your day of fishing or sightseeing is over, sit back and watch the river go by, join your friends in telling fish stories around the firepit, or enjoy a barbequed fresh salmon fillet on the cabin's grill. It just doesn't get any better than this! Our fishing oriented cabins are located near Sterling, Alaska, on the Kenai Peninsula which is a short (2.2 hour) drive from Anchorage along beautiful Cook Inlet and through scenic mountains to the heart of Kenai Peninsula's outdoor attractions. Please note: our rates vary by date and number of guests based on triple occupancy.
Our upscale cabin has all stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, BBQ, freezer for fish, Direct TV and Wi-Fi.
When making reservations, let us know your fishing interests. In addition to our private unguided shoreline fishing, we'll be happy to arrange fishing guide services for you either on the river or on the nearby salt water. We can also arrange fly out fishing day trips to remote rivers and lakes. Although famous for it's giant king salmon, the Kenai River is also the home of sockeye or red salmon, silver salmon, pink salmon, dolly varden and trophy rainbow trout in excess of 30 inches. Being located in the approximate middle of the Kenai Peninsula; easy day trips for sightseeing, whale viewing or birdwatching can be made to Kachimak Bay, Homer, Seward, Kenai or elsewhere. As we are only about 20 miles from saltwater, halibut fishing charters are also easily arranged. The below is a listing of some of the many activities that can be enjoyed while staying at our cabin with, of course, particular emphasis on everyone's favorite past-time… FISHING! Possible activities from our cabin: Guided or unguided salmon fishing Guided or unguided rainbow trout and dolly varden fishing Saltwater fishing for halibut, ling cod, rockfish, etc. Whale and Marine mammal viewing Birding Wildlife viewing - moose, brown and black bear, sheep, etc. Canoeing Photography Rafting / Kayaking Clamming Hiking and sightseeing glacier boat cruises out of Seward.
