Sashas Place Kenai River Alaskan Log Cabin with HOT TUB - Maintained Daily

Tested Starlink as cabin out of range for cable. Seemed to work well, need another Starlink extender for kitchen area. Logs too thick for WiFi to get through with a strong signal. . Glad the cabin went over well and hot tub was working. Great group, thanks for staying Sashas Place.

Charcoal was in the green house with the lighter fluid adjacent to the fire pit. Alaska, we're on a circuit for pretty much everything. Hot tub came up weird after winter, had "The Water Works" on speed dial out of Anchorage, but seemed to have cleared up. New issues restarting, have call in to Water Works to send guy out with new remote. Will check temp while we're at it, but it reported 104 Degrees. I turned it down, to my preference of less than 100 degrees. Just crank er up. Address shows log cabin as NOT on water, they keep flooding anyway. The fishing spots we pointed out were cranking anyway. A limit is a limit set by state.

Allot of servers go off of Google Maps for their location services. HomeAway/VRBO is one of them. It's noted Google Maps doesn't accurately reflect the correct location of the cabin. We had requested this be fixed when we purchased the cabin. Obviously it has not been corrected by Google Maps. We have gone back to HomeAway/VRBO and they have kicked the can to Google Maps. Once again we have gone to Google Maps in the hopes they will correct their "Map/Satellite" view for future reference. Little bit of confusion at first. Payments broken down into 3 opportunities. 1/3 paid at time of booking. 2/3 and 3/3 never happened. No response from guests resulted in VRBO cancellation. Guest rebooked and paid in full at that time. Owner would have to agree, even by retired Army standards "effective communication" was an issue. The other owner was a bit shy by all of this, just didn't translate into Korean culture at all. But, American culture is what it is.

There was much discussion about finally paying the bill even with multiple payment allowed. It was greatly appreciated when this was finally accomplished. As discussed your sisters dog was an exception as many guest would leave their dogs in the cabin unattended requiring a need for the carpet guy to remove the accidents. Very unsanitary for the next guests which prompted the removal of pets. The new dish washer, please allow for this being Alaska and maintenance workers can be difficult to locate. That is why the brand new dishwasher was NOT listed as an amenity. Simple lack of repair person. The new dishwasher has since been replaced. I’ll have to ADD the dishwasher back to the amenities. The hot tub was discussed in our online conversations as you asked about it prior to booking. Hot tub was also NOT an amenity. This being a high maintenance and safety issue. But yes hot tub is only a year old and NOT offered as an amenity. Coffee filters were in the cabinet next to the gas stove. But Grandma was obliging anyway. But finally paying the bill was greatly appreciated as some guests seem to encounter great difficulties in this area. Please note check out is 1100 hours and strictly adhered to especially when Grandma is cleaning up after a 2500 sq ft log cabin with a large number of guests. At times there are guests that need a reminder when 1100 hours has arrived. Please note amenities offered and payment schedule when booking any VRBO.
