About this property
Romantic Couples Escape | Dogs Stay Free | Hot Springs, NC | The Bailey
A dog-friendly mountain bungalow with year-round views & walkable convenience.
The Bailey Hot Springs is a luxurious 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom bungalow located right in the heart of Hot Springs, NC. Nestled on a quiet residential street with beautiful year-round mountain views, this warm and inviting retreat is just minutes from the French Broad River, the Appalachian Trail, local restaurants, shops, and the town’s natural hot springs.
Inside, the bungalow features a bright and thoughtfully designed interior, offering everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Each bedroom has a medium-firm memory foam queen bed with soft, high-thread-count cotton sheets for a restful night’s sleep. The living room includes cozy seating, a smart TV, and a seasonal gas-burning fireplace—perfect for movie nights or cool evenings together.
The kitchen is fully equipped with full-size appliances, cookware, and essentials for preparing meals at home. A washer and dryer add extra convenience for longer stays or adventure-filled days on the river or trails. You’ll also enjoy fast fiber Wi-Fi (250 Mbps+), ideal for streaming, remote work, or video calls.
Step outside to enjoy one of the best features of The Bailey: its outdoor living spaces. The back porch offers a dining table with seating for four, and warm wood tones for evening conversations. The front porch provides additional seating two tabletop fire pits and peaceful mountain views. You’ll also find cozy outdoor touches including a hammock and two Kelty glamping benches, making it easy to relax, read, or simply enjoy the mountain air.
The Bailey is also proudly dog-friendly with no additional pet fee. We welcome up to two dogs (more possible by request), and we provide complimentary dog towels, bowls, treats, and a comfy pet bed. The yard area and walkable neighborhood make it easy to explore town, visit nearby trailheads, or enjoy a peaceful stroll to the river.
Hot Springs was heavily impacted by Hurricane Helene, and the community is still rebuilding. When you book at The Bailey, you’ll receive the most current information about open restaurants, shops, and local events—and a portion of all bookings through 2025 is donated toward Helene relief efforts in Madison County.
Your hosts, Clinton and Theresa, are dedicated to making every stay special. They’ve added personal touches throughout the property to create a space that is both comfortable and memorable— extra outdoor seating, and a unique blend of dog-friendly amenities inspired by their own pups, Iris and Hazel, and recently rescued pup, Nico.
Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a hiking weekend, a family escape, or a peaceful dog-friendly retreat, The Bailey Hot Springs offers the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and mountain charm. We’re confident you’ll enjoy your stay as much as we do.

About the host
Your host
We are so happy to be your hosts, Clinton and Theresa. We bought the Bailey as a vacation home / rental to celebrate the life of our best dog Bailey. We made it dog friendly in her honor. She would welcome you with open paws! We ourselves frequent The Bailey with our current dog loves, Iris and Hazel, and Nico. We try to improve The Bailey with every stay. We recently added a misting fan to make the back porch more enjoyable on hot summer days. The back yard offers a great place to play, grill and chill. There are 2 cozy benches in the guest locker available for your use . Take the hammock out back or on either deck and read a book and relax. We feel confident that you will enjoy your stay as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
Most guests choose The Bailey because they can park once and walk everywhere. The Appalachian Trail, French Broad River, restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, and the mineral baths are all just minutes away.
You’re in the heart of Hot Springs — but tucked on a quiet residential street with mountain views and peaceful porches.
Inside, you’ll find fast Wi-Fi, comfortable beds, and a clean, thoughtfully stocked home. Outside, you’ll find covered porches, hammock seating, and space to unwind after a day on the trails or river.
And because we travel with our own dogs, The Bailey is genuinely dog-friendly — dog covers, towels, bowls, treats, and a pet bed(s)
What makes this property unique
The Bailey offers something most Hot Springs rentals don’t: true walkability, mountain views, and no pet fees — all in one place.
You can walk to the Appalachian Trail, the river, the mineral baths, coffee shops, restaurants, and breweries, then come back to a quiet street with covered porches and long valley views.
Inside you'll find local maps, menus, curated trail guides, and a personal guestbook from Clinton and Theresa — everything you need to explore Hot Springs like someone who actually lives here. Memory foam beds, seasonal Eddie Bauer linens, and Woolrich quilts mean you'll actually recover in comfort from those trail miles..
