It is obvious that Rob and Amy have but a lot of work into the property. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. We felt right at home when we arrived and got to spend the week relaxing, hiking, and overall enjoying nature. The road getting to the house is not graded well which Rob warned about ahead of time. He and Amy were very communicative before during and after our stay. Would definitely come back here again!
I stayed at Elf Haus with my 3yo daughter for two nights in April, and it was the perfect peaceful getaway in the mountains. The cabin was easy to find with the detailed instructions, and the neighborhood was quiet. (We even saw a fox outside the cabin one morning!)
I loved how charming the cabin was—you can really tell it's been decorated for the owners use and not just as a rental. The fully equipped kitchen and espresso machine were a nice touch for not having to leave the cabin, and we loved the cozy fireplace and record player in the evening as it snowed outside.
My daughter adds "I liked the cabin! Can we go again?" (We will definitely be back!)
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Elf Haus for a week to work remote and enjoy the mountains of Colorado in the summer. We were NOT disappointed. The house was immaculate and beautiful. They've thought of so many little details that I didn't know existed. The wifi worked great, the kitchen works for what you need, the coffee/espresso machine and entire coffee bar was so nice! The beds were comfortable, we worked on the deck in the mornings with coffee. There's beautiful hiking trails just up the road. Speaking of the road to the house, it's not particularly steep or worrisome in the summer; however, the washboarding of it (ripples) at times can creates a bumpy ride. 10000x worth the journey but be prepared for the car to rattle a little. Would 10/10 go back to this house and plan to again. We absolutely loved it.
This was the perfect mountain cabin get away. From booking to check out, Rob and Amy have been amazing. I can’t say enough positive things about our entire experience. The cabin itself is a dream sitting amongst the forest with the cutest kitchen and coffee bar. I loved all aesthetics in this A-frame. The dog friendliness made my pup comfortable the instant she entered ( Dog toys, bed, treats). We enjoyed a soak in the hot tub daily after hiking. Morning coffees in the hammocks were a great, peaceful way to start the day. All recommendations from Rob and Amy from hikes to eats were on point. I highly recommend this place and hope to book again in the future.
