About this property
Private, Mountain Views, Large Deck, Hot Tub - Alpenhaus
Alpenhaus is a gorgeous and secluded mountain home located in the Valley of the Sun neighborhood, less than 24 miles from Breckenridge. This spectacular 3 bedroom/3 bathroom, pet friendly home is on heavily wooded property with fabulous views of the mountains in the distance. In addition to enjoying the beautiful outdoor area and elevated wrap-around deck, there is nothing like sinking into the private hot tub for a long, hot soak after a day of Colorado outdoor adventuring.
Step through the door of Alpenhaus and into the quintessential Colorado Mountain Cabin.
The ground floor offers a cozy Entertainment Room with comfortable seating around a Smart TV that is mounted over a roaring gas fireplace. Enjoy walkout access to the secluded hot tub for an evening soak under the stars. Just beyond the Entertainment Room is a plush and cozy Queen Bed fitted with our comfortable cotton bed linens and the adjacent Ground Floor Bathroom offers a standard pedestal sink, toilet and a bathtub/shower combo.
Walk up the stairs to the Great Room where you can enjoy high vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling views of the surrounding woodlands and distant peaks. The spacious Living Area has comfortable leather couches centered around a wood-burning fireplace and majestic stone hearth all open to the Dining Area and the bright and cheerful Kitchen. The Dining space has a large table with comfortable seating for 6, a sideboard and walkout access to the propane BBQ grill. The well appointed Kitchen has custom cabinets and countertops, numerous cooking gadgets and high-top seating for 2 at the bar - the perfect place for whipping up your family's favorite meal! Just beyond the Kitchen, the Mid-Level Bedroom offers large windows, a Queen bed, a corner Twin and a large storage closet. The Mid-Level Central Bathroom features a standard vanity, toilet, corner shower and full size washer and dryer available for guest use - So no need to waste precious vacation time at the laundromat in town!
Up to the top floor open Loft where there is a cozy reading nook, a set of Twin Bunk Beds with a small corner television and the Top Floor Bathroom with a standard vanity, toilet and a bathtub/shower combo - where you choose to start your day with a quick refreshing rinse or sink in for a long soak after a long day on the slopes. The Lofts Master Bedroom has large windows, a comfortable King size bed fitted with our cozy cotton bed linens and a large storage closet.
The spacious, elevated, wrap-around deck space is ideal for summer evenings lounging under the stars. Comfortable deck furniture around a gas fire pit provides all the mountain ambiance you could desire for your Colorado retreat.
Valley of the Sun is home to a variety of wildlife and this spectacular location affords opportunities to observe Elk, Deer and Foxes (just to name a few!) right on the property.
Additionally, the wetland area located less than 1 mile from the home is one of the few areas where you may be able to see Moose in their natural habitat.
The driveway is plowed in the winter and the roadways are maintained by the county, but 4-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED from November through May due to the frequent snow storms in this area.
Park County is an activity center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, it's a great "Base Camp!" If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will probably find it within 10-20 minutes of the cabin. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain climbing, snow-shoeing, horseback riding (winter too!), ice climbing, fishing, hunting, rafting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, mine exploration, canoeing, kayaking, and much much more.
