What a great stay at Camp David! So much fun between the waterside, the pool and the hot tub. Plenty of room and great kitchen set up for a team competing at UGA for the weekend.

UGA Football Weekend

Nice location, beautiful wooded waterfront property. Short ride to Athens where we took in a November football weekend. Beautiful welcome gifts, including fresh baked goods. Must be really nice in warmer weather.

Perfect large family retreat near Athens

We absolutely loved our day! David and Becky the owners are so friendly and accommodating! This house was perfect for our younger kids to go swimming and enjoy the outdoors. For the adults we mainly came so we could set up a tailgate at UGA. We also had the grandparents with us. The house is close enough to the university that people could easily make runs back-and-forth or if they wanted to leave the tailgate earlier they could just come and eat and head back to the house, and continue doing this wonderful retreat. But I honestly cannot say enough about the owners. We met them once we got there, and David continued to reach back out anytime we needed anything. He truly made this day. Absolutely perfect for us! Keep in mind that this house is a lake house in a quiet wooded area. There are some spiders and bugs that are unavoidable, especially around the pool area. But that’s totally expected given the setting. My youngest one absolutely loved looking at the spiders outside lol. The rooms in the house are huge! And the closet space in each room probably could fit a small air mattress or pack and play for infants. We will definitely be coming back again!

With our children now grown and out on their own, we want to share the magic of this place. It is too big for just us and we hope it continues to be a haven for families and friends to bond and for people to celebrate their milestones. We continue to live tucked away on the property in a separate apartment with our dog Bodie. We are minutes away if you need anything, but you won't even notice we are here if you don't.

This area offers a blend of small-town charm and urban conveniences. Watkinsville is known for its rich history and arts scene. It has cozy shops, local galleries, and scenic parks. East Side Athens provides a vibrant atmosphere with easy access to the University of Georgia and downtown Athens, diverse dining options, and shopping centers. This area has beautiful natural surroundings, including the State Botanical Garden of Georgia and various outdoor recreational activities. It is an ideal place for both relaxation and adventure!
