Always love setting in Gainesville and this was much nicer than staying in a hotel for 2 nights with 3 adults. Comfortable homey atmosphere much better than a hotel. 2 blocks from our student’s apartment made the location even more ideal. Thanks.
Very central location in student neighborhood behind Walmart. 2 clean rooms upstairs. Lots of room for 4. Working washer and dryer. Pet friendly. Very happy, will be my go to in future visits.
This was a cute, clean and well kempt property. The host was great with communication and left good instructions and expectations in the house guide. It's conveniently located and there are lots of good restaurants and store nearby. Thank you for a lovely stay!
We notified David that the locks were broken on both sliding glass doors in the unit, and there was a wire sticking out of wall electrical socket in the kitchen. He sent someone to put an extender rod in doors but they came with the wrong size and never came back. We were there for four days with laptops and personal belongings unsecured. No action was taken on electrical. The location near Celebration Pointe was very convenient but be aware that thithe
This condo has everything you need, and the host is very responsive. I mentioned that there wasn’t a hairdryer and he had one delivered within a couple of hours. The location was great for a UF football game, close to campus and also close to many dining options and Butler Plaza.
So this was my first time booking a vrbo and I would like to start off by saying it was a very nice trip! We came up towards the springs for my birthday. The house was nicely decorated also came with a bottle of wine. Unfortunately we don’t drink but it was the thought that counted.
The owner did a great job with communication and I believe it is priced right. I have no issues with the owner but had several items to address with them which I trust they will address and fix. Issues I had included no working smoke detectors. I fixed them easily because the battery was incorrectly put in (and presumably never tested). Also there was no carbon monoxide detector and the furnace is next to the bedrooms, so I bought one and they reimbursed me which I appreciated. The cleanliness was okay but there was still leftover coffee from the previous renter, mildew and scum that needed to be cleaned in the shower. There's electrical issues which I addressed with the owner including the fan light switch which makes electrical shock noises, and for some reason the light comes on and off depending on the fan setting. The dryer vent was either off or clogged because a ton of moisture and drops of water accumulated all over the floor and walls of the room. ***I sent a video of the dishwasher door to the owner, because the hinge whips the door to the ground at a very high velocity and slams the ground***Other than that, beds were comfortable, instructions were easy to follow and prompt follow up.
I waited for 2 weeks to post this review, to give the property manager a chance to respond to my concerns. I never received a thoughtful response, so...Here's the good. The reservation and check-in were both smooth. Then we opened the door.At first glance, the apartment looked fine, if somewhat dated. But we immediately started noticing the flaws. Upon opening th coffee maker, we found old, moldy grounds that had been left for who knows how long. In the upstairs bathroom, the shower had loads of mildew, not just on caulking and grout, but all over the tiles as well. Multiple examples of bad patchwork adorned the walls. After walking through the apartment for a while barefoot, the bottoms of our feet were literally BLACK from the dirt on the floors. I began to question if our health was at risk. The wifi provided was spotty, and there were multiple instances of loss of signal from the router. The ad mentioned the availability of a bike. It's a good thing we didn't need one, because there was no bike there.I messaged David (manager?owner?) several times, attempting to address these issues, but the responses I received were vague and non-commital. After I requested a refund of the cleaning fee, he stopped responding altogether.Bottom line, don't expect a clean dwelling, a bike, or reliable internet if you book here
