About this space Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space directly on the Gauley River. Once a Post Office from the early 1900s, this 300 sqft tiny home has been thoughtfully converted into a comfortable getaway. Push a kayak in and float the calm river, enjoy a beverage on the spacious back porch, or make progress on that novel. Take a short drive to a number of wilderness ventures, including the majestic New River Gorge. Whatever your pleasure, you can find it here.

The space The tiny house (a.k.a., the Post Office) is a stylish stand-alone studio home with a full bathroom and a very large covered back deck. The house was gutted and fully renovated; renovations were completed in March 2024.
The river is directly in the back yard! You’ll be located directly on a wide section of flat water, which provides peaceful kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, or lounging.
The fairly large yard (1/2 acre), including river access, is shared with another house (one of my other listed properties: Cottage on the crystal clear Gauley River). Each house has its own covered porch, as well as grill and fire pit. The river frontage is long, so there should be little concern if guests are in the other house. A maximum of six guests could stay in the other house: consider renting both if you have a party of between 7 and 9 people! Guest access The yard and river access is shared with the other house, but you have full access to the tiny house and its deck, as well as a private fire pit and propane grill. Other things to note Check-in instructions and house details will be sent on the morning of your arrival.
Absolutely no smoking is allowed inside the house. There is a $300 fine for smoking inside.
*Rock Climbers* if you need to borrow crash pads, they’re available for a small fee. Kayaks are also available to rent.

Exactly as presented! Pleasant setting, quiet community. Near 2 major waterfall attractions. Little long curly way back to Fayetteville and civilization. Nice retreat.
Beyond impressed by this gorgeous tiny home. My partner even paused a moment before entering because it was absolutely stunning on opening the door! Definitely hope to visit again.
This is a very nice place to stay, very peaceful and relaxing surroundings. Never stayed in a tiny house before and it was a very pleasant experience, esp with a river in the backyard! The place is very clean and up to date. And the host Mike has been excellent with communication and answering questions.
Normally we stay in hotels however this “Tiny Home” popped up and thought it would be fun!
The house is very cute and very clean! We are pleasantly impressed
The tiny house is super cute with all your needed amenities. The place was super clean. The only thing we would recommend is to place a small comfortable chair in the house and towel hooks on the bathroom door. We had a great time and loved listening to the rain at night hitting the metal roof. The neighbors on the street were friendly and welcoming - we didn’t expect that!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
We enjoyed the tiny house. The airconditioner was a bit noisy. We wish there was better access to the river and neighbors weren't so very close. Coming from the west it was difficult to navigate the road. It met our needs.
